The only source I've seen for the Prince's opinion of Wilder is this one dating from October 2017.
For me it answers a lot of questions that the unattributed quotes of Mr Osborne do not:
“Chris loves Sheffield United,” Prince Abdullah said. “He is ‘one of us’ as they say. But I am not daft enough to think Chris is not an ambitious guy. He is loyal but ambitious and so are we. We must match those. I say to my friends: ‘I want him to be the next Sir Alex Ferguson.’ I want him to be here for 15 to 20 years.”
“Look at the record over two and a half years,” Prince Abdullah, a former president of Saudi club Al-Hilal, said. “I think he is a good guy above everything else. I feel that I can trust him. I have worked with some really big name coaches; Eric Gerets, Cosmin Olaroiu and now Chris. I really like him. I like his attitude, he is honest. He is a great coach but he will grow to be even a better coach.

The Prince did a two part interview with the Star last year see below. There are may interesting titbits which explain what a future strategy could be; what a boardroom exit could look like; and what the financial approach was in our first season back in the championship.:

The Star also printed an article from a source close to the prince re the current takeover (again pinch of salt required). The source, a trusted confidant of Prince Abdullah, explained that while he is prepared to buy the freehold and leaseholds at “a fair market value”, the “immediate priority” is “pushing to promotion.”

For me,a falling out with Wilder seems unlikely given the above.
