Prince believes Wilder has “crossed the line” in alliance with McCabe

I don't even know what that is!

One of these things regarding a random show from years ago. The internet thinks it helpful to show you what the cast looks like now. It can be mildly interesting in a "fuck me, is it really that long since Everybody Loves Raymond was on the telly".

Wilder has said nothing to indicate a siding with either party. The article does not give any example of that. If the author of the article believes that he should provide the quote that has caused the problem?

I do think though that a manager can only say so much about issues upstairs and it’s not wise to get involved tbh. There is a risk that he could end up pissing both of them off if it’s perceived, incorrectly, that he is taking sides.

We revel in it though don’t we? We’re our own worst enemy and our specialist skill is meltdown. There’s a new thread on here every five minutes! Only in S2!

Aye, Foxy should get his merging finger pulled out quicker.

From the Feb announcement....

The Prince and Kevin McCabe want to reassure everyone connected to the club that the current negotiations and transfer of ownership will have no impact on the club's management and its staff.

Is that from the same source that offered us Europe in five years and Liverpool type investment?

A reliable source informs me the next series of '24' will be based on the power struggle going on at Bramall Lane right now.

It can't be though can it? Int that all over with in a day hence the title?!:D

Darren "it was a done deal, signed up and everything but things change" Smith says from his Spanish hideout that McCabes mates are making out that the Prince is the bad guy.

It's hardly a scoop Dazza, even by look at me Twitter standards.

Anything from Magic Mike or Maxster yet I’m sat here on tenterhooks:rolleyes:

He would be wise to tell his Estate Agent to keep his nose out as well...

it would seem the Prince is unhappy .. i'll tell you what mate.. if you pm me your bank details i'll send you that quid back ;)

They are my bet to take over if CW leaves (or Allardyce ).
it would be vanWinkle.. he's already here. i'm uncomfortable about this and judging by the results since he arrived so is most of the team. on the upside. S2 would make a great location for a very large Mosque??

Why does it make you uncomfortable? Genuine question - if Wilder was to go, what is it about him that means you wouldn't want him as our new manager? Wilder and McCabe have made sure that he hasn't had anything to do with managing the team to date, so the drop off in form is entirely coincidental.

Why on earth would it be him? that's a huge assumption, seeing as the Prince trusts him and wanted a football man to represent him on the board........that doesn't automatically make him the the next managerial replacement.
I don't even think he's been anything other than an assistant manager before.

REALLY??? a man arriving in the boardroom has affected the team and results???

is it? why bring in another 'manager' when you've already got one? it's on the record that McCabe had to block him becoming involved in technical aspects.. he seems to have got the job because he knows the Prince from when he managed the Saudi national team..

.. and i don't trust Belgians.. :D

He didn't manage the Saudi's...he was a technical director for the Saudi FA

But he isn't the manager and although he might have wanted to get involved, he wasn't allowed to. If Wilder's entire ability to manage the team, and the players ability to play well, are affected by the mere presence of someone in the boardroom (which, it transpires, don't even communicate to the playing staff), then I don't hold out much hope for future success under Wilder.
However, I think you've admitted the real reason yourself, at the end.

i have . i added that comment deliberately because i am probably biased.. but that notwithstanding.. why was he brought here? why did he feel the need to get involved if it wasn't his remit?

If the dispute goes to a court case. Presumably in the High Court there would be a chance to sit in the gallery and watch proceedings.

We should send a representative down to take it all in and provide daily reports.

Which forum member would be best suited for this assignment?

Applications with CV to H Hare, in a nest, in a field somewhere in Norfolk, by a pub.

You have dropped the hint about your feelings for our Belgian cousins on numerous occasions. :D
I'm guessing he was brought in because the Prince wants a voice, and eyes and ears, at the club. I suspect he tried to get involved because that's his background and he couldn't help himself. I understand that, I probably would have too. If the Prince walks he will be gone. If McCabe leaves, we will have to see.
