Dear ... ........... ( ownersx2)

As fans we would like to thank you for your combined efforts since 2012. The extra investment which helped build our club for success and the appointment of Chris Wilder provided it over the last 2 years with wonderful entertainment and special times for all at the club. Prince ...?.., no doubt you will have been delighted how we fans have responded with support rarely seen at this level at any other club.

The purpose of this letter is to express the anxiety we fans have about the current legal negotiations.

Such negotiations are nothing whatsoever to do with us and we know Mr McCabe always has the long term interests of SUFC in mind and that he respects the prince in that context.

We fans are seeking reassurance at this time. Can you both confirm that steps are in place to provide an appropriate budget for our manager in time for him to improve the squad now and at a pace to help you achieve the medium term objective to reach the Premier League, indeed to be competitive with a promotion push next season. We believe provision of such a meaningful budget is in the interests of the club and particularly both owners, regardless of who takes control in due course. The club needs to build on momentum and not stall it.

Please regard this letter as being in the best interests of our club. We fans do not want to lose the best manager we have had for years and years.

Good luck with the negotiations.

Yours. "

Unbelievable Jeff!

Not sure about this. I believe you refer to eithebr McCabe or the Prince, but are you saying that a big budget is more important than whoever runs the club?

And in general, the letter asked for reassurance that sufficient funding is place for a push for promotion. What is the next step should a reply say "No, we got some cash, but not that much"? Is the answer "Sack the Board"?

Wilder will let us know what he thinks of his budget in due course as with any player sales too.

The main objective of any such letter is to support our manager right now and beyond that if / when the prince takes over. If McCabe takes over I don't think we have a problem.

The second objective is to demand some information on this summer"s plans.

The third objective is to demonstrate that we fans are concerned , are aware of the dynamics of the threatening situation and have a voice.

Seems to be about 1 fan interested but I offered an idea and am glad I did.

This response would make a better letter than the original.

Dear Kev & Abz,

Give Tufty a wedge for players and fuck Rip off.

If you don't, there's fuck all any of us can do other than smoke bomb the boardroom or kidney punch Mick Rooker.

Ps Abz - have a word and cut Yemen a bit of slack.

Peace out motherfuckers.

Hillmorton. Why not write one?

I invited comments and thank you for yours.

If you read my letter the focus is on those 3 objectives. Not the owners reply. More letting them know we are there and backing our manager.

If you can get that across better I'd be delighted.

No appetite for it anyway. Probably mot enough pictures for some:)

To whom it may concern

We need more assists. The assisters simply aren't providing enough assistance with regards to assists. Assisting with assists is paramount. And would assist in any promotion push. If l can be any assistance assisting with assists, please let me know when I will be glad to tell you how to do it.

Please tell the soon to be departed manager the wing backs he signed are shite.

I certainly wouldn’t put my name to that semi-literate, melodramatic pile of horse shit. If I’m going to sign a protest letter, I’d want it to be written by someone with a much better grasp of (a) grammar, (b) rhetoric, and (c) the issues at hand.

I’d also be inclined to wait a while, to see how the legal process plays out, before shouting the odds about pledges, and calling others out for their supposed ‘apathy’ (ie, their non-agreement with the OP).

But I guess that makes me a cartoon-prone shark. Ffs.

Please take your insulting, trolling, self-referential, hysterical nonsense elsewhere. Bladesmad might be a decent first stop.

Nah, I'm deffo still thinking plastic ducks on the pitch.

You bastard. It took me ages to compose that letter.

Before cutting up any season tickets shouldn't we just ask for the two owners to communicate with the supporters about the situation and their intentions should they become the outright owner.

It seems to me that most fans (including the OP) have formed the opinion that the Prince is the pantomine villan and Wilder will not be happy if he becomes the sole owner.

Apart from the 'audience with McCabe' at the Octagon I have seen no evidence to indicate Wilder will only be happy if McCabe becomes the owner once again.

Somebody has brought up politicians within this thread and to stay on that theme we should be looking for an honest manifesto from the Prince and McCabe.

It may well turn out that the Prince's intentions are far more ambitious than Wilder's and McCabe's put together and if we spurn the opportunity then it could be the biggest mistake since a certain club turned down the opportunity of signing Maradona.

His manifesto could be to sign Neymar, but the fans still can’t do anything. It’s a legal contest, not a popularity one

Alan Biggs has effectively dried up this thread.

My summary is 'good thread with the initial idea substantially developed by the forum group and ultimately helping a local journalist to pose highly relevant questions to owners in a brave attempt to help our manager and at risk of upsetting the owners'.

All this despite so much distracting nonsense and filibustering.

Well done Blades.

Everyone wants answers. The majority realise that the legal aspect is currently the most important thing on the owners minds and that no amount of sabre rattling ( by a bloke who started off with scissors that it turns out he never intended using) will change their timetable.

None of this will stop Wilder and his team looking at their options, player wise. The crunch will come only when the take over is finalised. In any event, I suspect they'll all be off on holiday for a fortnight after Saturday.

Apparently Wilder is meeting with Stewart Donald in Gateshead tonight. If he leaves us for L1 Sunderland as a result of this situation the owners have allowed to develop then they'll have carelessly wasted our best opportunity for a very long time and they don't deserve our ST renewal money.

Because nobody bought into his singing section idea above the B on BL upper tier

Or maybe it's just because they're generally fucking useless...

If he leaves it's his choice. To leave before the ownership issue is resolved? Seems odd to me and nothing like the man.

I'd also be disappointed with Wilder if he chose to leave at this stage. But the club really shouldn't have allowed any such possibility to develop.

I'm quite sure they didn't want to either. But then again, we haven't even played our last game this season and the manager dropping hints and the players having drunken fights in the car park.

.

If true, then that is illegal "tapping up"

Truth be told The Crab I have been out and I am seeing things a bit "binary". Hopefully it's all a storm in a tea cup? But if he were to leave because of reason you suggest? Well...

Hope you and yours keeping ok.

All will be revealed soon enough I think Hilly.

I've got some potentially not great health things on the horizon, but a couple of bottles of Scarborough Fair have mellowed me a bit. Ms Crab's fluid produced by her Cancer has spread to her lung & heart. Not the Cancer itself, but the fluid and now she has a Hernia.

Hope things are well in your world my friend.

It would help if we knew who triggered it and what they have triggered?
