He's going to leave.
Maybe this summer, maybe in ten years time. But unless he retires like Fergie, then it will be either because we've turned rubbish or he has an opportunity too good to turn down (like all those players).
We had good season tickets sales before he turned up and will do after.
Of course we would be disappointed if he bobs off up to Sunderland (not as disappointed as he will be when he gets there) but frankly the gnashing of teeth and threatening of cutting season tickets up is bizarre given the very vaguest of reference he made to any such thing happening.
The ownership dispute is so much the 'Bladesway'. We are vulnerable and there is a worst case scenario which we are all aware of and dread.
Wilder is a professional and successful manager no doubt in big demand for clubs like West Brom, Southampton who will have loads of cash to splash from their Parachute Payments as well as the accumulated wealth from years in the Premier League. He is exactly what those clubs need in their position; a practical, successful manager with his feet on the ground and an incredible three seasons success at three levels of the league where he knows value for money and quality players; an ability to establish 'old values' in the modern game.
Wilder and Knill were given improved contracts last summer but I suggest they are on peanuts compared to the offers that can be made by the above clubs. Added to that their spending budgets and the quality of their exising squads will be far higher than ours while we are paralysed by the owners' legal wranglings without the means to improve the squad much at all.
My belief is that Wilder wants to be in the job he is in right now and for years to come. He can transform the club and change it's history and which Blade would not give their hind teeth for that opportunity - a legend at his own club in his own lifetime and for ever.
On the other hand if the Prince takes total control will he change the phylosophy and careful path that Wilder has established. The risks for Wilder are obvious especially if we have a mediocre start to the season which will not be weighed against the lack of budget in the summer. It's harsh but almost inevitable that results count regardless of background conditions and past achievements are soon forgotten, especially by foreign owners.
This is 'The Bladesway' and it all lifts towards Farce and Incredulity if we should get promoted this season. Wilder will have to weigh-up all those factors very soon I'd say.
There's no mention of Wilder saying he wanted away then either?
Not saying there is nothing in it, but in the absence of any evidence, nor can it be said there is much chance of him going. All speculation.
All this talk about 'cutting up season tickets' is a an effective sound bite and a talking point which helps get across the point as far away as Saudi Arabia.
Has nobody learned anything from Trump and Boris and Farage?
Keep plugging away Blades.
Debate and concern not so 'bizarre' then Hmtn. No probs.
I have no issue whatsoever in debate, especially if you are concerned.
Thought that's what I was doing.
No probs. Concern and 'gnashing' is not that 'bizarre' that's all. It's a threat, that's for sure.
Whether you really mean to threaten your season ticket, or even a strongly worded email to the owners. It's all speculation and, in my opinion, stoking a fire that is barely alight.
Money is where it's at. Tell them we'll boycott the sponsors, the hotel, the dining packages etc. if their ineptitude leads to Wilder walking.
If I withdraw all the money I've spent on those things.. erm..
Where it really hits is at the turnstiles. And that isn't going to happen. Not being defeatist, rather more realistic.
And if Wilder were to go and some journeyman (person) were to turn up, the gates would decrease in proportion to the quality of entertainment.
Although, if we carry on in the same form as so far in 2018, that may happen anyway. The owner(s) will know this.
Foxy didn't respond so the chances of a protest in numbers diminished somehat.
Been a little tied up, also not entirely clear on what you are suggesting?
I'm always happy to be a conduit and help facilitate communication via connections, however, with the caveat that it's productive, organised and involves those who want to make a valid point rather than shit sling from distance taking advantage of a buffer![]()
Ah well. No support for a coordinated gesture to grab the headlines and prod the owners in the ribs, especially the one in Saudi Arabia.

Walt. Whatever Blade. I'm sort of from the school that encourages debate and enlightenment from debate. Suit yourself.
Walt. You are nowhere near a Shark. Not qualified, anywhere near.
You are of an age that loves cartoons though.![]()
Oh dear. Whatever, at least you are a Blade.
Try debate, it enlarges the brain cells.
Cartoons have their place, though it"s not on here IMO. Maybe Playschool.
Well what?Rodders . Well?
