No. It's all one thing.

Threaten by petition , pledging to cut our season tickets in half if Wilder leaves for reason of budget, strategy or approach.. That is a pre-emptive strike by fans who are usually not in the picture or even considered by foreign owners.

All one thing., no moves from or to anything
Need any more explanation?

Comments all over this forum show concern about the summer being wasted while the owners squabble and Wilder being left with no altetnative but to leave.

Why doesn't somebody think of something we fans should do about it.

Loads of nervous energy on here, loads of cartoons, loads of Blade on Blade aggression but no idea/s.

Fans should not be passive when their manager is being let down and the best opportunity for decades could be wasted.

We fans should have a voice and petitions work, they really do, especially if club income is threatened.

Wilder is worried Blades. Why aren't you?

Don't think either of the owners will care much about the cutting up of ST cards.
They've already trousered your cash !
Holding off renewing , like 10,000 of our 22,000 ST Holders are currently doing (until they know the manger's staying) , is more effective.

This thread has all the hallmarks of a conventional WWF response to criticism of his efforts on other recent threads.

Over the top ? Tick.
Somewhat hysterical ? Tick.
Appeal for some nebulous notion of ‘unity’ grounded in his personal take on things ? Tick.
Repeated, didactic attempts to steer any discussion that ensues ? Tick.
All the above seemingly motivated by an ongoing, but misguided and unsuccessful quest for ‘likes’ ? Tick, tick, tick.

Boring. :shark:

Fans are a powerful force. We need to be heard one way or another. Any ideas?

Foxy . Not sure whether you think fans should petition owners or whether you think there is a threatening situation at the club even.

Ok forget cutting up season tickets! What about a carefully composed e-mail from S24SU which forum members can sign and send as an individual? Action groups do this all the time with messages to M.P's. How many members does the forum have?

I will understand if you don't wish to get involved in the politics of it all and I suppose the owners could resent the forum"s involvement and break contact.

I just think this club needs Wilder and I've seen this situation developing long before the owners started wrangling. We are vulnerable. Fans should assume a role and be a power.

I've written a progressive dance piece titled "All alone in the wilderness years". It's a personal journey accounting my own experience of following this great club in yoga pants and ballet shoes.

Either I or a proxy shall perform this outside the ground until cats are included in the attendance figures and WWF gets his wish of a strongly worded email.

Some kind of coordinated approach would be good but it's more likely to end up with a few knobs waving their shoes in the air and/or writing rude comments on ripped up bed sheets. Ricky has been trying for months to coordinate a singing effort and that has been like plaiting shit, your suggestion would be a step too far I think WWF.

The board needs to know that the fans are unhappy, Kevin McCabe openly asks people to email him. I'd suggest emailing him and asking others to do the same, template and blanket responses don't have the same impact as personal and heartfelt messages in my view.

Anybody know KM's e-mail address?

Ill give a great OP the sensible and intelligent reply that it deserves rather than troll sharking with immature gifs and abuse.

I think the idea of cutting up the season card and sending it back to the club is a pretty silly think to do, and to my mind, as a serious and credible poster you are better than that Woodwardfan

I’ve been a Sheffield United for a lot of years, and always expect the worst as it is in our blood and we have been let down multiple times, but attending the matches with lad and my mates gives me a lot of enjoyment and I can’t see really see a time when I pack up, although I have threatened to throw my toys out of the pram when United have incurred my displeasure.

I did expect better from you Woody, especially when you was stoic in your support of Adkins when things weren’t going as we might have liked under Nigel Adkins, I can remember you and the sadly missed William Henry Foukles (who was another one to get hounded our by the sharks) being solid in your backing.

I do think a strongly worded letter with the members of this forum being counter signatories would be the way to go, although I think quite a few people wouldn’t be brave enough to do it, although i do think that is something you could do and something you could do well

Brownie OUT! or was it me Brownie?

You're better than that too:(.

Better post though, if a few pages behind the debate in some respects;)

Getting our fans to organise and co-ordinate anything is hopeless.

We're supposed to be passionate but there's never any action, when there easily could be.

We don't even have any remotely effective supporters club or group.

Then Woodwardfan makes a suggestion like this and all most people can do is mock it. It sums it up.

Thanks Ricky.

Let's remind Blades of the proposition.

Agree a coordinated way to support our manager at a time we are at risk of losing him because our owners are in dispute.

The objective? : To insist that the owners produce a budget for this summer which our manager confirms he should be able to improve the squad and take the club forward incrementally.

So from cutting upseason tickets we're now at emailing Kev and presumably will end up having a cup of tea with him, begging him not to leave.

Ricky. You having mentioned the mocking by certain posters, I've seen hardly any on this thread.

Looking back there are about 15 posts by my 'ignored' sharks. Let me hazard a guess that those 15 posts offer no contribution to the thread debate whatsoever and offer only childish nonsense aimed at me despite the fact I never read it; play the poster mot the post. Even to this day some 6 months after I put them on 'ignore', the six poor souls no doubt do it day in day out and 'like' each others abuse within seconds of each post. Talk about weird. Why do they do it. What's in it for them? Can't be for me to read it.

Ricky, they have a different agenda whatever the topic, it doesn't matter.

As a season ticket holder I wish to make a pledge that if Wilder leaves the club due to differences of opinion with any owner on strategy, approach or budget, then immediately I cut my season ticket card in two and return it to the owner.

My feedback on your pledge:
a) it's not clear if you mean cutting it in half before or after renewing it
b) it's a shit idea either way

I think I agree thanks to feedback like yours. I'd do it but there we go.

Please read post 107 and offer your views and maybe better ideas.

Seem to be trying to solve a crisis that we don't actually know exists. And consequently could well be conflating it.

It's dramatic Bigger Blade nonsense. Nothing more. Everything aimed at McCabe, why not ask the Prince the same questions? The OP did once suggest in all seriousness a fans buyout with figures. When it was pointed out who would cover any losses and fund transfer fees if cash was tight, the subject was quickly dropped. Just a headline with no thought, hoping for support which invariably never arrives.

A search for likes as a "good post", that's quickly watered down when the obvious flaws are pointed out, not by sharks but by other posters.

If Wilder IS in the dark, then not one person on here will have any more information. And McCabe and HRH will disclose publicly when it suits them, not when a fan "insists" we should be told now.

Anyone who has had a reasonable conversation with McCabe will know he doesn't heed demands from fans, though hopefully he can sit down with the one man who does really matter at the moment, Chris Wilder.

I think the only way forward for the Club now is for a narcissist to speak on all our behalves to demand an interview with the chairman to tell him where he’s going wrong.

Could that have been the plan from the start?

WIFA?

That was a tongue in cheek effort lol.

On a serious note, I think you should put together a list of grievances on this one, and then take it to the management of the club before we start cutting our season tickets up.

Perhaps in the spirit of Trade Unionism we should hold a ballot on if she would all tear up our season tickets as one to make a principled stand.

O.K. that's a view. Thanks.

Which Chairman do you mean?

Suggest the two owners are the key persons.

Don't favour an interview by any one fan.

A petition can be a balanced message.

:)

I’m with Woodwardfan on this. I renewed our three tickets last week. If I had heard Chris Wilders interview before I would not have renewed. I want Chris Wilder here next season and if the club made it hard for him and he leaves I’ll be asking for a refund!!;)

He's going to leave.

Maybe this summer, maybe in ten years time. But unless he retires like Fergie, then it will be either because we've turned rubbish or he has an opportunity too good to turn down (like all those players).

We had good season tickets sales before he turned up and will do after.

Of course we would be disappointed if he bobs off up to Sunderland (not as disappointed as he will be when he gets there) but frankly the gnashing of teeth and threatening of cutting season tickets up is bizarre given the very vaguest of reference he made to any such thing happening.
