Season ticket sales at 12000 to date may be a touch disappointing.

The ownership dispute may be partly/ mostly the cause why some fans are leaving their options open.

Would fans welcome full ownership returning to McCabe or the prince taking full charge?

I'm not sure what the prince knows about football or more particularly football in S2, or about fans in S2. Nor am I sure McCabe wants to throw even more cash at the club. It may be 'Hobson's Choice' and the prince might think he is the popular option.

This is a special club and the culture of the club is maybe more important than many, if not most other clubs.

Chris Wilder epitomises our culture and is a proven successful and experienced manager. In my opinion whoever owns the club should secure his services for years to come. If he doesn't want recruitment of numbers of foreign players then that is how it is as far as I'm concerned.

As a season ticket holder I wish to make a pledge that if Wilder leaves the club due to differences of opinion with any owner on strategy, approach or budget, then immediately I cut my season ticket card in two and return it to the owner.

In these days of petitions for this that and everything, why don't we petition the half-owners to let them know our concerns and anxieties over their dispute.

Indeed the message is 'do not take control of the club without adequate financial resources to back our current manager' this summer. Back him with increased (not extreme) budgets and you are very welcome.

Let's back our Blade and manager!

If Wilder chooses to leave then so do I.
Having been a fan through Wragg, Brearley, Woolhouse,McDonald and other shysters I may not recall, my teddies are firmly in the pram and not for throwing.
This is my club, ups and downs admittedly, odd games missed here and there, but I’ll be here (hopefully) long after Wlilder, Mcabe et al and will support my club through thinner and thinner as I always have

I want a Sheffield bloke in charge and a Sheffield bloke as manager.

If a season ticket is cut in half does it count twice in the attendance?
Depends if it's adult or junior. If it's adult - yes. If it's junior, it only counts for a quarter if you cut it in half.

How many of us would like to go down the pig route, but not to the extreme that they have gone, by paying more for season tickets, and more for individual tickets on the day. Providing funds for CW to buy the next level type of player that we need. And how much do you think the cost should be raised to achieve this. Just a thought, especially as ownership is up in the air at the moment.

By my reckoning Wednesday charge £100 more a season ticket and sell just a bit less than us as a result. That is based on our average attendance being 800 more a game than them. They also charge on average more on the gate but not as much as the headlines would have you believe.

My back of a fag packet calculation is that they take about £3m more than us across the season in tickets sales but as we've had 20,000 more people through the gate you have to assume we've clawed a bit of that back in ancillary sales across the bar etc. Include the fact that a chunk of those will be sold to concessions (kids, pensioners) and the gap is probably more like £2.5m

What impact can £2.5m have on a championship season?

I suppose it's £48,000 a week in wages and the key is who you pay with that extra income. 3 x James Wilson anyone?

Alternatively it's a £7.5m signing (based on 3 year depreciation to match the contract) and you still have find the wages from somewhere. Jordon Rhodes?

Looking online our wage bill is circa £10m - £12 m and theirs is nearer £25m -£27m

Looking at those numbers, extra ticket pricing isn't funding the pigs spending spree, Chansiri is.

Right, new morning new start.:)

The protest is in effect a political statement to our owners.

Treat this petitiilon/ pledge like politicians treat us day in day out.

You don't have to mean what you say 100%, it's a symbolic show of force.;)

Any takers now?

And yes I do like the yellow duck idea. Any other ideas for a show of force which gets a clear message to the prince?

What is the clear message? Hes not done owt wrong yet.
Clubs like Coventry, Charlton and Blackpool have had genuine protests because their owners are screwing the club - can you honestly say the same about the Prince?

What’s your view on safe standing?

I think I've covered that in the o.p.

It's the Van Winkle thing that spells bother for Wilder to me.

Pre-emptive strike.

So, to date, one person is going to cut his season ticket card up in a flounce if Wilder leaves.
Which leaves us with just one question -
Can you get through the turnstiles with four pieces of season ticket card held together with selotape?

...and does the sellotape co.........oh, bollocks to it

Just in case you have not noticed.
NO ONE EVER TAKES YOUR ADVICE ON HERE.

Thread thrice RUINED.

Bloody sharks.

So we've gone from chopping up tickets if Wilder leaves due to any differences of opinion with ANY owner...............to pre-emptive strikes incase the Prince replaces Wilder with Van Winkle?
