Season ticket sales at 12000 to date may be a touch disappointing.

The ownership dispute may be partly/ mostly the cause why some fans are leaving their options open.

Would fans welcome full ownership returning to McCabe or the prince taking full charge?

I'm not sure what the prince knows about football or more particularly football in S2, or about fans in S2. Nor am I sure McCabe wants to throw even more cash at the club. It may be 'Hobson's Choice' and the prince might think he is the popular option.

This is a special club and the culture of the club is maybe more important than many, if not most other clubs.

Chris Wilder epitomises our culture and is a proven successful and experienced manager. In my opinion whoever owns the club should secure his services for years to come. If he doesn't want recruitment of numbers of foreign players then that is how it is as far as I'm concerned.

As a season ticket holder I wish to make a pledge that if Wilder leaves the club due to differences of opinion with any owner on strategy, approach or budget, then immediately I cut my season ticket card in two and return it to the owner.

In these days of petitions for this that and everything, why don't we petition the half-owners to let them know our concerns and anxieties over their dispute.

Indeed the message is 'do not take control of the club without adequate financial resources to back our current manager' this summer. Back him with increased (not extreme) budgets and you are very welcome.

Let's back our Blade and manager!

If Wilder chooses to leave then so do I.

Is it? What is our 'culture'? What have we retained?

Decent idea though WWF. But it would take a shred of unity and organisation and we're incapable of that.

How many of us would like to go down the pig route, but not to the extreme that they have gone, by paying more for season tickets, and more for individual tickets on the day. Providing funds for CW to buy the next level type of player that we need. And how much do you think the cost should be raised to achieve this. Just a thought, especially as ownership is up in the air at the moment.

Can I have first dibs on baking a cake if you do leave? ;)

Wilder may well choose to leave regardless of the boardroom issues

Word has it that Wednesday would have Steve McLaren now if it had not been for Porktalk.

Don't worry, I'm sure our 'supporters clubs' would help ensure we avoid any such disaster....

OH NO WE'RE NOT! (ok, apart from the unity :()

Woodwardfan why is 12000 disappointing? What were sales this time last year?

Can't really compare like for like given that everyone could see an unknown in size price hike after Northampton and got in early, oddly enough right after most people had been paid to help that. Here people there's no such issue, and with the extension anyone who's not bought already will surely wait until Monday

And the 'Pledge?

Hey Blades.

This o.p. was not really about season ticket sales to date ( see separate thread) it's about a 'Pledge' - Wilder and the prince and Van Winkle.

If Wilder left for the “Newcastle” job and a £5m pay rise, there’s little doubt he’d also cite “differences of opinion” etc as one of his reasons. It definitely wouldn’t be a world’s first but factual “who’d turn £5,000,000 down”.

I’d be devastated, but my card won’t be getting cut in two,
