It states that if you sign up to this membership you get a free ticket for a designated members day.

Does this mean you get a free match ticket for a match during the season or does it mean that you get a ticket for 'members day' whatever that is?

thanks for your help

I think it means you get a ticket for a "nothing" game where they aren't expecting many people to make an effort to turn up. Think Plymouth on a wet Tuesday February evening.

Yeah... afaik, you don't get to pick which match the freebie is for.

aye you get told when it is -no choice- it was birmingham at the lane last season.

Does anyone know if the memberships are the same as last season? I must remember to contact BDTBL as the official site helpfully still has last season membership details on there

As far as I remember it being advertised, it is the same as last year yeah. Guaranteed ticket for the pig match at home and all that.

We should be popping down to the ticket office this week so I can see if there's a leaflet with info if you like?

That would be good. I emailed them a couple of weeks ago asking about whether I could join the student membership thing and they said the details weren't out yet. I've heard nothing since either.

i was a member last season i go to every home match and 9 out of ten away i just cant make the financial commitment that is a season ticket, you save £3 a match on tickets and either a quid or a couple on away travel so it's paid for itself by the third game of the season.really good value in my opinion,oh yeah you also have your tickets for games put onto your member card instead of getting paper ones.which is great

I'll give them a bell tonight or tomorrow and post the info on here.

Cheers for the offer though.

I did the Away shirt sponsor of Bromby a couple of years back and as I was working away on rotation it meant I couldn't attend the Sponsors day at the Training ground, followed by a ticket for the match in the exec lounge(I think that was Plymouth as well!).

I spoke with the commercial department and they were only too happy to provide a ticket for another game (Ipswich when Unsworth scored from the Byline).

Don't know if it'll work the same for a membership but if you can't make the game that they pick then its always worth giving the club a call.

One thing I've found with the Blades is that they'll always try and do what they can to help.

Spoke to the ticket office last night and got my membership, the line was poor so missed some of the info and they wasn't sure why the website hasn't been updated as the memberships have changed slighty from last season.

£10 for the membership
£3 off cat a games, anywhere in the ground
Guaranteed piggy (h) ticket
Discount on blades travel
Members day I think they said is buy one ticket get one ticket free

I should be getting the details through soon so will post a confirmation of what you get (unless any clarifies in the meantime)

Will sort mine out tomorrow! :)

Memberships

Don't get to every game any more, so opted against a season ticket and became a senior blade last year.

Really good deal and was planning on doing same again this year. Checked out the official website but it's still got last years details on.

Any ideas anyone?

Might go tomorrow and ask at the Box Office, but the website really ought to be up to date. Makes us look really unprofessional. Sort it out Blades.

I'm too young to comment!

:p

I'm sure someone will come up with the info though.

:)

I know the website is outdated re. memberships, I renewed mine last week at the ticket office £10 bargain. I would assume the seniorblade things the same. But I think they can do it over the phone too.

If I remember rightly the Senior Blades membership was for anyone 16 and above. Anyone under that age was covered by either Teen Blade or Junior Blade memberships.

Bit confusing this year as I think 16 year olds are now classed as a concession, so unclear which membership (if any) applies to them.

My son was a Teen Blade last year, but is now 16 so want to sort this out.

Ah right sorry by senior I thought you meant as in properly senior. If senior is over 16 then I'm a senior member too :D

Err...I thought you meant the more mature ones among us who are known as the Senior Blades.

I presume you mean the adult version over 16's.

I was wondering the same thing and got this reply on a previous membership thread on here..

£10 to join
£3 discount on all cat a games in all areas of the ground
buy 1 ticket get 1 free for a designated members day fixture
200 loyalty points
Travel discount - up to £3 on official coach
Access card
Guaranteed seat for wednesday game, subject to purchase before deadline
£10 discount on commemorative legends package

Hope that helps. I'm gonna be sorting my student membership out this week. :)

Got the membership Tuesday (it is Adult, not Senior as I thought). Disappointed that it's not such a good deal as last season, but still has it's benefits.

Trying to work out if there's any point in my 16 yr old getting one. Already qualifies as a concession, so doubtful he'd qualify for the money off cat A games, but without the membership he won't get a guaranteed Wendy ticket.

Will mean I'll have to risk waiting for them to go on general sale, which kind of defeats the purpose of me getting a membership in the first place.

Fantastic Deal
You can't lose Free ticket for a £10-00 match + discounts + guaranteed Wendy ticket alone worth the money.
Only problem is remembering your seat number when you book over the phone as you won't sit in the same seats every game - I now write them down after a couple of embarrassing incidents when me and Junior FB arrived just in time for kick off with the slip of paper with the seat numbers on left on the kitchen table!

Ah but unlike last year the free ticket will have to be for a friend as it's buy one get one free, so it'll be my friend that will benefit, not me (unless I charge him for the "buy one" ticket).

Know what you mean about remembering the seat numbers. One tip is to put them in your phone (unless you leave that on the kitchen table of course). Still tricky convincing some drunken lout that he's in your seat without the written evidence of course (assuming they can read).

With regards to my son, I'm sure I read somewhere that 16-17yr olds were counting as a concession this year, but can find nothing about it on the official site. It states that concessionary rates are available for Youths (under 16), Seniors (over 60) and Students on production of NUS card.

Am I imagining it or does it say it somewhere less obvious than the tickets page?

Asked at the box office before the Leicester game about this. Girl was a bit clueless about pricing structure, but said that my son should get the student membership, rather than the adult membership. Couldn't explain the benefits though, so no idea what this entitles him to (or not).

Any ideas anyone? No mention of student membership on the website. Just Adult, Junior and Teen.
