How does 7,500 fans leaving via one exit sit with the usually voiciferous SAG?

Closing the South Stand exit to Bramall Lane has safety implications for the people who sit in that stand. I'm sure that if that stand were designed with only one exit at the Shoreham Street end, it wouldn't get a safety certificate, it would be too crowded.

It doesn't seem to be a safe thing to do - unless they ask the supporters to leave block by block, and I've never seen that before.

sure they have good intentions but doesn't it just shift any problem to the underpass near Decathlon.

Police were there in decent numbers on Tuesday so there should be 100's of them today. With the amount of planning and resource they've got and the fact that they got the kick off changed there is no excuse for them fucking this up. Should be smooth, professional and safe.

But we all know SYP - it probably won't be

The barriers are a joke, simply funnel fans together 100 yards further down the road where policing was thinner. The majority of riot clad coppers hadn’t a clue what they were doing but no doubt the hierarchy will pat themselves on the back for a job well done and ignore everything else as they did at the Sty in September. As ever, SYP were fucking pathetic. At 11.45 loads of them outside Bessemers on Leopold Street with their flameproof overalls and baseball caps looking hard. In the car park behind the kop with their 'hate walls', horse vans and dog vans, just itching to show off their kit. In the air, a helicopter. Can't imagine they'll see Madelaine McCann or Ben Needham from up there. And at the final whistle? Fucking bedlam. Major missile throwing and trouble in the underpass. What passes for 'intelligence' in SYPD went missing. Again. Still, only one more home game left and just the one opportunity to fund the summer holiday with their overtime.

Coming out of the Beer Engine we walked towards the ground with all the closer roads blocked off....I asked a policeman the best way to get in the ground on John Street as all the roads seemed blocked off.....he said go down that road and you will find John Street. Now having been watching utd since 1968 this was very helpful. I walked across John Street and the lane just as the Millwall arrived with no protection from plod.

Complete joke again....I'll not talk about after as i'll only get bitter!

Pathetic policing as ever by SYP. We were told it's not safe to go down towards Bramall Lane because they're throwing bottles but you can go back round to Bramall Lane the long way. When I asked if that would be safe the police lady said yes. Don't think she got the irony.
