After the solid performance and satisfactory result on Tuesday at home to Burton, we now welcome Nottingham Forest to BDBL hopefully resulting in a similar outcome. And on the road, Forest are somewhat goal shy, failing to score in 3 of their last 4 away. Mind you they did get 5 in the other one! We'll again need to be at the races to ensure a smooth passage and keep ourselves right in the mix....

Anyway....

Any team news? :)

Clarke returning from injury?

Brooks still not totally fit to start?

Duffy has to play....

Starting lineup unchanged from Tuesday?

We've got a good record over the last decade and a bit over Forest at the lane. We need that to continue this afternoon, with another decent chance to get back into the top 6, other results permitting. We can worry about that later, as long as we do our part. I'm not taking anything for granted, but I really do fancy us for a 2-0 win. Onwards and upwards....

Weather could make it a bit of a freak game. Be nice to have Clarke back if he's fit - might need some more physicality

Not really doing it is he Wilson? Potentially a very good player but if he does get another start today he needs to deliver some goals or I can see him not getting much game time between now and the play-off final.;)

I keep sticking up for Wilson but if Clarke is fit he needs dropping to the bench.
He might even suit being an impact sub at this stage.

Either 0-0 or 1-0 either way today. Bad weather, tired teams, Aitor Karanka. Not exactly a recipe for a free flowing game

Sharp to cut down forest

Sharp seems to love playing against his old teams. He’s scored in both home and away games vs Leeds and Reading, and was an unused sub at Forest. He also scored in both games vs Scunthorpe last season.

Same side as Burton. But Brooks in for Wilson. Brooks to step up his comeback and get 60 mins. Clarke to replace him to ease back in.

Despite his influence in 2 goals and a MOTM performance, I feel Duffy hides too much and deserves replacing with someone in a hi-vis jacket.

Brooks won’t start unfortunately.

I think unless Clarke is fit it will be the same side as Tuesday.

Hopefully Wilson delivers today if not then no hanging around, get Brooks on at half time.

I think Brooks is much more dangerous when he's used as a substitute.

I wouldn't start him even if he was fully fit.

Forest to win 3-0 apparently!

Love to thump these.

They're like Notts County supporters only scruffier.

3-0 Forest

Think it will either be a very close game with 1:0 either way or some kind of daft 4:3.

We really should start Brooks. Wilson does nothing. I don't think Billy can play upfront on his own, but hey ho give it a go.

Seems an odd mood to play a player who has failed to settle in his natural position in an alien position. We'll see I guess.

Wilson not even on the bench.

Its not an 'alien position' he has played it for Southend.

And he has played barely a handful of games so slightly harsh to say he has failed at anything yet.
