Fair enough, but isn't it a bit earlier to be describing a new lad as a potential misfit, especially when he's been thrown on in a losing position?

He's 30 and hasn't exactly had a glorious career so maybe you're right, but we can't write players off after a handful of games. More importantly we trusted CW with Fleck, JOC, Duffy etc so let's give the lad a bit longer, eh?

Would love see a fully fit and firing Brooks in the starting XI as he's one of the few match winners we have.

However, the current Brooks looks to be lacking match fitness and if he keeps on giving the ball away like he did Tuesday, we'll get murdered.

It's a spine of JOC, Coutts/Fleck and Brooks that next season's team should be built around!

Probably not as many as we think. In the same way Coutts makes Fleck and Duffy better players, I think if we can find a number 9 with pace and a goal threat (I know, I know - but every other team in the top 6 has one) - then with Brooks and the midfield we have, then all of a sudden we're all lifted and are a constant threat.

I've said all season - Tufty doesn't know what his best strike force is, and I still don't think he's any nearer knowing....

Keeping Blackman and a RCB with pace would also be nice too....
