Wilder wants to know what direction the club is going

Must say i cant remember the last time i heard such a prolonged bollocking. Like wilder has given because he hasnt calmed down at all. sounds just as angry today as he did friday. For once im glad im not a sheff utd player because i guess its been tense few days & if i was a player we get a repeat of hull. Then i would bypass the dressing room because teacups really will be flying.

But how did we go so quickly from a really comfortable 2nd gear win (albeit 1st 65mins not last 25) to this predicament 3 days later where we are worried wilder is off in summer. Arguing with the board

Fairly calm about all this tbh, and surprised it’s got quite the level of alarmed reaction it has had on here. It’s fairly clear he was enormously pissed off that we let our standards slip so low after what had been good results in the games leading up to it. It’s essentially been left in the hands of the senior pros in the squad to sort it out, so naturally Wilder is sticking to his guns and leaving them to it. The ownership issue is obviously unsettling, but as Wilder notes a completely separate issue to this set of players doing what they’re capable of.

Prediction..

When Wilder resigns in May I confidently look forward to the fans forum where McCabe damms him with faint praise for having “taken the team as far he can” and hints at exciting new names in the frame as manager.. receives a standing ovation from those present and is lauded on here for keeping the club he loves afloat....

....Three weeks later he then appoints Mark Robins with Chris Morgan as his assistant.

My opinion on this issue is that wilder has probably asked the question regarding ownership just so that he has an idea!. He was rightly critical of the players performance at hull and is hoping for a good response tomorrow night!!. The ownership issue is confusing for us all and needs sorting one way or another. UTB

If you get to go, the room is split into around six sections.

Those on the front few rows gaze at Kev lovingly, applauding like North Korean generals. Directly behind them are the mumblers, grumblers and tutters. That's all they do apart from one or two who still ask about the Freehold. Then there's one row where the sensible people who ask questions relevant to the meeting sit.

Behind them are two rows where the "We Loved Dick Wragg, wouldn't waste our money, bloody new stand, bring cricket back" brigade in one row, and the"Let's dig Dick Wragg up and set fire to him" cabal and there junior section "McCabe out of my club" casuals.

Then there are those who like to slowly drive past car crashes who listen very carefully so they can misrepresent what's been said on here - Hello Len !

After that are the mouthy drunks with their anthem "Weers munneh gone" and the odd muttered "cunt" comment.

Somewhere in the audience is one bloke wanting to complain about the quality of the milk sachets in John Street, who keeps interrupting.

It's a rite of passage.

Sounds like a zoo of sorts. I'm intrigued.

How much is a share in SUFC? I get paid on Thursday so it can be my little payday treat...

If Wilder left I have a feeling Brian Deane will be in the frame for the job.

He wouldnt be the worst choice. He was my choice after clough because i followed sarpsborg & he did a very good job there. In 5000 capacity stadium he Kept them in their top division for 1st time in the clubs history & 2nd year finished 9th + Norwegian fa cup semi final

But like de gea at man utd & kane at spurs. We need to give him what he wants within reason because he is massively integral to us

I got a single share as part of a birthday gift pack about 12 years ago, and I get the club accounts sent to me, and invites to shareholder meetings.

I think the package was around the £25 mark and the actual value of the share was 19p or something like that, but it is nice for the stuff that comes with it, and you can a bit of an insight to what’s happening although to me, a lot of the stuff in the accounts is gobbledygook, to the trained eye it will be interesting

Since this new boardroom struggle raised its ugly head, the biggest concern for me has to be the future of Chris Wilder who i think at the moment is the clubs biggest asset.

At the minute was is happening seems to be to be as clear as mud, with the matched investment it seems like one party isn't willing to match the others investment, meaning that the funding of the first team is suffering, and it is not a situation that can go indefinitely as i can see the moment coming where Wilder walks and we are left with another poor managerial choice and enter a new spell in the wilderness.

I think the shareholders meeting on saturday will be of critical importance, as i think that McCabe will put his cards on the table and put his point across, the silence coming from the Saudi at the minute is deafening.

The way i see it is that McCabe has grown tired of the lack of interest coming from the Saudi, and is calling him out and i'd be surprised if he doesn't have other investors primed and ready to come in to the replace Abdullah.
To be fair Prince Abdullah is quit busy at the moment discussing the rather odd use of the foreign versions of forenames i.e. Mohamed and Ahmed rather than the Arabic Mohammad and Ahmad. It's created quite a lively debate.

Sounds to me like Wilder has had enough and is on is way out - Taken the club as far as I can ... what's happening? ... money for players? As mush as I dislike Wilder on a personal level, a gobby so and so, he's a damn good manager and will be a big loss :(

What did you think about him railing against the club for not letting dogs in on match days?

You do realise that Wilder has never said he’s taken the club as far as he can and that you’ve just made it up don’t you?

Good to see you’re being as positive as you usually are.

Puts me in mind of someone... can’t think who....

Neither can I, as I’ve no idea what you’re talking about. You should get back to predicting that Wilder will leave at the end of the season and that Fleck will sign for Burnley in the January 2018 transfer window.

Of course he does. Any employee would. I'm sure the guys in the ticket office and commercial department do too!

Question is what can they all do? Get on with the day job you're paid to do or find another role...

After thinking about his outburst on Friday, I think Wilder is playing a high stakes game. Realistically where could he go? As Chris Coleman is finding out, pick the wrong club and a blossoming career can end in 3 months... Most Championship clubs either have uncertain ownership or some crazy foreign consortium!

We're as luck to have him, as he's lucky to have us!!

Where could he go?

A manager that hasn’t been sacked yet
Back to back promotions
199 points in 2 season
Been promoted from conference and reached number 1 spot in Championship with a bottom half budget.

Carlos (Swansea) Rowett (Derby) Heckinbottom (Leeds)

Your deluded if you believe your statement.

Come on, he's a fan of course he's pissed off that;

we lost to his predecessor Adkins

we lost a Yorkshire derby

we missed an opportunity to get back into the play off positions

that he can't have as much money as his peers for players

some of his newest players did not perform on Friday when given the chance

the ownership is in limbo

We all felt like he did after watching that game and to his credit he says what he thinks. Remember the Adkins interviews?

He's incredibly miserable, but that's not new. I remember one of the current squad saying the same jokingly to my lad in the weeks after he first arrived. Thing is our success has meant we've not seen so much of this side of Chris Wilder.

He's been fantastic for the club, we've exceeded most people's expectations last year and this.

Thanks Chris

p.s. let Alan do the Reading post match interviews.

Friday has hurt him a heck of a lot. But Friday’s performance hadn’t ‘been coming’ like some off days usually are. We’ve just won 2 on the spin and played some good stuff and deserved the wins. Then all of a sudden we can’t string 2 passes together??? Why? What’s happened since last Saturday to make that performance so bad??

He wants to know what direction we’re going in - we all do. But if it’s him asking the question, my spider sense tells me that’s not positive.

Just in the car now and we can’t help thinking that the board wants promotion on peanuts and this can’t be achieved. This manager is the best thing to happen to this club. The board have to stop thinking his loyalty will keep him here. He’s ambitious. He’s driven. He wants to win things. Stop taking him for granted and saying “here’s some cash, spend it wisely”. Start saying “here’s some cash, do the business”.

If there’s a bit of a power struggle at the top, the politics needs to be kept private and away from football matters as well as it can.

Exactly this

He has his finger on the pulse does our Prince.

And we then set fire to the board room.

So to sum everything up -
The Prince isn't prepared to match McCabes investment, so he's forcing him out.
McCabe isn't prepared to match the Princes investment, so he's forcing him out.
If McCabe stays we're buggered cos he's not investing.
If the Prince takes over we're buggered because he's foreign and knows nothing about our club and heritage.
McCabe wants to leave anyway and has a string of investors waiting in the wings to take over.........(but they're ok because they're all English and know about our club and heritage).
The Prince doesn't communicate so he's evil.
McCabe communicates but apparently just lies.
Wilder hasn't a clue which direction we're going in.
We've had bids for Brooks from Spurs and Liverpool, everyone knows about this other than Wilder.

Confused, you soon will be!

Ohhh and the boardroom shenanigans have stopped our players from being able to pass from A to B.

Maybe the cause of Fridays performance is Wilders team talk on the back of an inspiring MCabe discussion- it would explain why so many high performers dropped their level.
