That's what time SYP kindly ask that we all take our seats. 6:45pm at the absolute latest.

Due to 'enhanced searches', they say. Sounds like a finger up the bum for every man, woman and child entering the stadium.

I don't really 'look forward' to derby games, but this lot really know how to put a fucking downer on the whole event.

An hour before kick off? Fuck off.

There will be `enhanced` searches for those daft enough to get there that early.

The majority will rock up at 19:30-45, and it will be no different to any other game.

Stewards will be told to use common sense, which is a thinly disguised message to look in the odd handbag/holdall, and let everyone else through.

Your last two words in your post are spot on mate and my thoughts entirely.

There’s no way I’m freezing my bollocks off for any longer than necessary, fuck off.

Maybe The Star has told them that kick off is 7pm.

After all this is what they reported this morning.

If you're one of the lucky football fans to get a ticket for the Steel City derby on Friday then you're sure to be in for a treat.

Friday's clash with fierce rivals Sheffield United will be the first one to be staged at Hillsborough for six years and now carries extra importance.

Wednesday will be looking to get revenge after United's 4-2 win at Bramall Lane back in September and the match will also be Jos Luhukay's first in charge of the Owls.

Unusually, the match will kick off on Friday at 7.45pm so, where can you go and get a pre-match pint beforehand?

Here, we've rounded up some of our favourite pubs close to Hillsborough to get you in the mood for the match.

Priceless......o_Oo_O

It is common practice in Germany, all fans are searched before going through the turnstiles, and bags and rucksacks not allowed in the ground. Some of the games I have been to it can take up to 30 minutes just to clear security, long queues.

Don't think there is much chance of me getting to my seat for that time, since I'll just be leaving work...

Have any of these police officers ever been to a game of football in their lives?
Almost everything they come out with would suggest not.

Additionally, they are planning to keep Wednesday fans in the ground "for around 10 minutes" after the final whistle.
Yep brilliant thinking that, if we win, stay behind to clap the players off, that 10 minutes should perfectly ensure their fans run into ours after the game... well done officers... well done.

I will endeavour to get into the ground a "tad earlier" if our friends at SYP promise to hold back a large percentage of Wednesday fans for at least half an hour in the same respects as they did the Blades fans in September...

If indeed this was on safety grounds because of the Wendy fans "loitering with intent"...Perhaps we should all just stand around in the streets and tie our shoelaces etc. Not in any way encouraging or condoning any form of criminal act, violent act or hostility first and foremost....I am not saying cause aggro in the slightest however the longer we take to get in the stadium, the longer the Wendy fans will have to wait to get in the stadium.

Yes I am extremely bitter about being kept on a tram whilst horrible cretins taunted us through the window...ultimately missing the first two goals of the game.

'Voluntary', apparently.

I'm sure they'll happily volunteer if they win. If not, well...

Recently went to see an NHL game (Tampa). They were very keen security-wise but it seemed to take not much time at all to get 19'000 + people in there.

That's it then meet up on Bramall lane at 6:30 hang around until kick off time so the pigs miss the first 30mins. Then 10mins should be long enough to congregate on Bramall lane for when they come out, kidney punches for the disabled grannies all round ;).
Fucking pathetic SYP shitting themselves again.

I'm always amazed people are surprised when the pretend desk jockey coppers make a bollocks of planning an event like this, leaving the poor sods on the ground to deal with everything.

What I don't get is why do they seem so much more bothered about fighting at football than fighting in town on a Saturday night? Is there honestly a more inept police force in the country?

The same copper who made shit up at the last derby game and lied about the events to press Now wants us to help them. How about you go fuck yourself Morley. Amanda from Fss fair cop is invited to join their ‘operation’ after last derby game’s fuck up. Will very interesting to see her report compared to syp’s version.

SYPD Officer 1: Who’s playing Friday?
SYPD Officer 2: The Blades...
SYPD Officer 1: Red Star Belgrade?
Superintendent: Thought so!!!
