"Wilder appears to be working with a minimal budget in a window that ideally should see United commit substantially to a promotion chance that may not reappear any time soon. I doubt the kitty is more than £2.5m, maybe less."

"Of that, it can be reasonably assumed the co-owners are contributing half each. The onus was on the Prince here, not McCabe, and it’s not much relatively. Enough to convince the manager his ambitions are matched? But if anyone can maximise it then it’s this manager – on his terms."

Thoughts?

Based on the summer transfer kitty that would be about right and with the likes of Lundstram, Stevens, Baldock, Donaldson all proving their worth (and Stearman starting to show his), we can certainly say that the current model works.

Targets will have been identified prior to the window and the club will know what it needs to spend, as long as the selling club doesn't go too mad with valuations.

I think it’s been widely accepted that’s it’s in the region of zero and fuck all

Has anyone thought that just perhaps CW went into the board meeting last month with a figure in mind. asked for said figure and what he asked for has been given by the board?

Yes I had also considered that possibility ....... ;)

I also considered the possibility that the quality of refereeing would improve this season and that pig fans would reduce their delusional tendencies when we beat them fair and square, dominating the game at the home of the filth ......

Regrettably ...... none of these logical possibilities appear to be forthcoming ......

Wilder, rather pointedly it seems, is quoted in a Star article as saying 'we are way below paying players the average championship wage and that's a fact.' That doesn' sound like the comments of a manager who is happy with his budget.

Thoughts?

I've had the shits for a couple of days. What's the minimum period I should make sure I'm in the toilet before I can confidently loose off a fart? Is today too soon?

Also, why are Cheddars so addictive even if I don't really like Cheese?

I've read most of the posts on this forum and the majority of them would make better articles than that, irrespective of whether they are crying for more money or saying it's all in hand. That really was a tedious bit of rubbish.

I havent seen any videos of Chris Wilder in floods of tears over the transfer budget

that would worry me

but he seemed quite bouncy yesterday
the only people Ive heard go on and on and on about it are the usual suspects

we dont play a league game for another week yet and thats only t pigs
whats the all fired rush

The drainage system all the way around Rother Valley needs improving

The rules are that you must take any and every comment as a rail against the board and the only interpretations allowed are that he's frustrated, or angry, on the edge of quitting or that if you go through all his words and rearrange the necessary ones, you get the message, "the board have shagged me up the bottom"

Most likely

Companies house site showing no new capital raised through new share issue for Blades Leisure since the summer. Unclear what the two new loan facilities were for before xmas but my guess is Wilder is having to work with budgets set way back at the beginning of the season and/or from any ins and outs since. Unclear whats happened to any sell on money received.
