the way Wilder spoke in his interview, after Bolton. Its seems highly unlikely he is coming back to us. No wingers, no change of the way we play.

Murphy can play in the hole like Duffy does and if Brooks is going, which no one knows yet, then Murphy could be a possible replacement. Murph played regularly for Motherwell in the hole or up front, as well as the wing.

Even if Murphy can play "in the hole", i'd still prefer Duffy to play there, as I couldn't see Murphy moving left/ right picking up the ball and playing clever passes moving around the opposition defence, we'd lose more than we gained. But i'd have him as a forward.

He cn run past players though and has pace which we certainly need. He could play off Leon or Donaldson too as you say. I love Duffy too though, but he needs a rest some matches or to come off and without Brooks we have no options.

Murphy will give us something we haven't had since Murphy left. Murphy. That is, if he comes.
But do we need him?

Just to keep the thread going is there another player called Murphy anywhere?

Murphy would've been a good signing. When we bought him, he was a striker for Motherwell. He kind of converted more to a Left Winger at us. If he came back, he would be more suited to CF or the "Duffy role". Clarke and Murphy up top would be a scary proposition for the opposition (nice rhyme that).

Devante Cole is meant to be lightning quick too.

According to sky sports Bid of a million quid has been accepted from rangers.

Would have thought at that price there would have been plenty of other interested clubs.

Seems like a steal to me

£1m is really not a lot.

I think Wilder would've been interested at that price if he had any sort of budget.

Surely we can compete with, and are a more attractive proposition than Rangers?!?

Obviously we can’t wath the fuck is happening, Wilder needs help and the board seem rot be sadly lacking. Personally I forgave the the poor August transfer window but with the injuries we have and the golden opportunity that we have now . I’m becoming increasingly livid with anger at the lack of investment

It's not just the money, he's Scotish and if he wants to get in the Scotland team he'll be invisible to them at the Lane.

Who cares, Really? If he wasn't a ex player and was going to rangers for a million quid what would peoples reactions be? Would it even register on people's radar never mind our budget been shit and us missing out?

What, some player that struggled to get into Brighton's first team on a regular basis? Just what we're looking for.
