I was very underwhelmed by the interview and that's not a dig at Wilder. I was hoping we'd get some early signings in but already its changed from Wilder's December stance of getting in players early to now hearing stuff like "we're trying, its a difficult market, not much happens at this time of the window". All valid points but doesn't strike me as a club that is confident of improving our squad, hence Whiteman coming back. We failed to add any pace in the summer and we're so desperate for a Steve Kabba type up top, and/or in the whole now Brooks is going to be out till February.

I also wanted to hear from Andy whether we were interested in Cole, but he never asked the question which is annoying! Wilder would have probably dodged it anyway but it would have been nice to hear his thoughts.

I must be one of only a few that wasn't impressed by Riley last season. Granted, his involvement was limited but even so, I thought he looked way off the pace on the occasions I saw him, especially away at Bristol Rovers.

Whilst he's highly rated as MUFC and I think is captaining their U23s this season, would it be a good move (for him or Utd) to come as utility cover? I can see his chances being very limited again if he does.

I'm a little surprised Utd don't seem to be in for Amari'i Bell at Fleetwood who appears to be on the verge of a move to Blackburn.

Other than Coutts, missing a recognised right back is what really cost us in November/December. I'm a massive Basham fan but a wingback is a specialist role, especially how we play.
I'd 100% go back in for Riley.
