can play coutts in't nets wi his cruches next week couldn't give a monkeys ,just need everyone fit and fresh for the week after.

Tufty has said he’s making changes. That’s very fair to anyone deciding whether to travel. It’s a weakened team. You know it now. Don’t moan,

Unless you can find that direct quote he will tell you he didn’t say it
It was Wilder...
Wilder has recently mentioned on Sheffieldlive that "we won't just be shopping at Aldi and he isn't afraid to target proven Championship level players"

As we've discussed ad nauseum over recent days - our wage structure/bill means we'll be shopping in Leagues One & Two.

This isn't Championship Manager, Tufty is working to a strategy and whatever we may think of that - thankfully he isn't listening!

As he has, Adam Clayton, John Egan and Conor Coady to name but three. The latter was a complete sham though, calculated to fool gullible fans that they were ambitious. Wilder was right at the heart of that deceit and should be thoroughly ashamed of himself.

Oh, hand me that surgical corset. Such original razor sharp humour has split my sides... Please, someone, let’s have a fax machine one.

I hope Chris has personally checked that the Fax Machine is plugged in before he made that statement.
Can be tricky things those Fax Machine's, they have a habit of not working when you want them too. Although depending on who you are that might not be a bad thing.

Big intake of breath when asked if the Board will back him for what he wants. Professional as ever, he’ll do his best with the budget he’s been given.

He isn't getting anything like what he’d hope for, but won’t say that in public obviously.

Without a change in structure at the top, losing Wilder remains our biggest threat. Not any time soon, but the current regime cannot match his ability with the finance it deserves.

And that for me demonstrates everything that is wrong with the modern game.

It's all about money.

Footballers earning more in a week than doctors earn in a year, it's just wrong on so many levels.

I hope he’s just playing poker.
Would be stupid saying I’ve got millions to spend.

Yep, but it is what it is unfortunately.

It’s not a dig at the board - you can’t and shouldn’t spend what you haven’t got. But the current regime isn’t functioning, and something needs to give. Co owners need to be in complete sync - and I can assure you they aren’t.

Wilder’s love for the club will see us through it, but not indefinitely (IMHO).

I agree entirely.

I' not sure that the owners have big differences but I am sure that neither of them has millions of pounds in cash waiting to be "sounded up the wall" because they have nothing else to do with it.

As.you say it is what it is ;)

Oh, OK then Pinchers lad, since you ask...

Apparently the league have just this last hour received our fax!

Good news too - they've agreed to process the Kyle Hutton transfer!

Just that they're a bit confused about us wanting to buy John Fleck

(Soz, I'm getting me coat, don't worry.)

Let's hope we do have a go at it because this squad is so close to being a serious contender. Top performance today but you look at the bench and think who is going to come on and change the game. Duffy & Donaldson looked knackered but no one really to replace them. Even Lundstram who was excellent today could probably have done with a sub with15 mins to go.

An alternative to Duffy + 2 strikers is key for me if we're to have a go at the top 6. But that might just cost a bit too much.

Can the owners chuck £5M a piece at it in the hope of the £100M reward ? I don't know because I'm not in their position.

Considering we brought in about 7 million in sell on fees that's pathetic
Yep - let nobody be fooled that that money is there to be spent. It's just offset other losses.

As I say, I'm not blaming anyone - but those who think any big money is on the way are going to be very disappointed, without changes at the top.

I never really thought there was but that's a surprisingly low budget

Brooks, Fleck, Clarke gone then

The mighty Bury have offered £15 for our kitchen sink too.

Please, someone, let’s have a fax machine one.

Why did the fax machine cross the road?

Because in the digital age of Dado-realism, it really had no choice.

Give us a fax-machine or McCabe’s Sofa one

What did the snowman say to McCabe's sofa?

Can you smell carrots....

I'm here all week

Indeed. This has been my main gripe this season. Considering how well Wilder has done with the budget he got, I think we would have had a very good chance at automatic had he actually been able to spend what we received in sell on fees. Real shame.
