Some weird stuff back in the day. Most of it better to stay in the past.
Yea ...people were different & had personalities....
Unlike today's world were all the birds look identical, blokes all dress the same and everyone spends half the match either looking at there phone or recording the match on it
I know which era I preferred.
Think this was Bristol rovers away ....

Known Dave Carson, Little Irish , for over 40 years, absolute diamond of a bloke ,still a London Rd lad with his Mrs now, used to be a crane driver. Sharpy published author and musician, his band Like ice like fire werent bad.

That is what my ex-workmate (who is an Owl) said too as Dave was in the same class as him at Greystones and High Storrs. Never been trouble, just that he is a crazy Blade!

the sra was definetly a 70s thing and they congregated in the top right hand corner of the kop not at the top behind the goal with the rest of us in the 60s we were the 'shoreham boys' and yes this cd is played every home game in the cricketers

As i believe that's where the first barmy army started with SRA.

Sorry pressed the reply button by mistake, Like Ice Like Fire were all Blades. 3 out of the 5 are no longer with us, plus the manager who was also a Blade.
Please tell me Ricky is still with us. Not seen him for years but we grew up together

Because, unfortunately, a large proportion of our fan base don't like characters, or edgy people, who might stand up, sing, taunt the opposition, scream at the ref and opposing players and, God forbid, encourage those around them to do the same.
I like that kind of thing. I may have lazily assumed he was a hooligan based on the song about chain based violence.

Yes pal, keep it let's play 4-4-2, who should we sign? forget all about Blade culture.

The CD's were made maybe 20/25 years ago, the songs are a part of Blade history dating back to the early 60's, if the songs had not been recorded they would have been forgotten, lost forever, it's a testament that some of the songs are still sung today, embrace the Blade sub-culture. 'We are the Shoreham Boot Boys.'

Why what? Why can’t I recall playing a CD of football chants from nearly 30 years ago?

Bit of an odd one.
What you on about? you're a Blade, someone gives you a Blade CD and you don't play it< Why the fuck not?

I said I can’t recall playing it and I was at work, not that I didn’t. I do remember it staying in my drawer but I clearly wasn’t bothered enough for it to be a seminal memory.
What is it you’re struggling with and why do you give a fuck?

I was there Ancient. After that game the local Plod made sure they directed us to the big terrace on Leeds Road for future away games. Knew we lost that game. Think Frank Worthington scored for Udders as they were riding high in the division at the time.

They won the league that season pal, bumped into a mob of Hudders Skins in Blackpool at Easter bank holiday 1970, they were having none of it that we took their end.

That graffiti was done at Huddersfield's ground the season before 1968.

Is it still in your office drawer then ?
God knows, I haven't worked there for over a decade. I didn't take it with me when I left.
I also didn't take my CCNA, ITIL documentation nor my Server 2003 installation and application r discs.
