I was there Ancient. After that game the local Plod made sure they directed us to the big terrace on Leeds Road for future away games. Knew we lost that game. Think Frank Worthington scored for Udders as they were riding high in the division at the time.
Steve Smith scored both goals

Remember the scoreline and disappointment we didnt turn up although it was reported later team were suffering flu outbreak. There were thousands of Blades that day outnumbering Uders fans. Worthington didnt score but I was impressed by him. He was destined for greater things with Leicester and England. He was a character. Loved the story about him below;

"Worthington lived a play boy lifestyle. In 1972 he undertook a medical at Liverpool ahead of a proposed transfer to the club. On hearing that Worthington had high blood pressure, manager Bill Shankley sent him to Majorca for a week for health reasons. After encounters with five separate women, including a former Miss Great Britain during the break, he returned showing higher blood pressure and the transfer fell through." :)

His cousin now lives in Gorleston and was sat next to me (he spoke to Blackheath Blade ) when we won with a McAtee goal at Norwich in April 2023. It was his first match since he was at the Leppings Lane End in the Hillsborough disaster despite swearing that he would never go to another match. He is a Liverpool fan and Frank often got him tickets for big matches. Frank's two brothers Bob (Notts County) and Dave (Grimsby) also played pro football.
