Sky are running a feature about 'your club's best moment of 2017' but obviously they can only be arsed to look at the top 20 clubs in the country.

I'm not sure I've ever experienced a calendar year quite like this one and even the past month can't taint what has been an amazing time to be a Blade. So, what's your standout moment and why? Winning promotion? Winning the league? Beating our nearest rivals Bolton back in February? The open top bus parade? First day back in the Champ?

For me it has to be the derby. Not only was it a resounding away win, it was a brilliant performance, a great game and proof that we would do well in this league. Importantly though, we stuffed the pigs in their own back yard.

Promotion was great, but there was an underlying feeling of relief which stopped me getting too giddy.

Here's to a similarly legendary 2018. Merry Christmas Blades.

I can narrow it down to about 30 seconds. Masses of unwashed arrogant twats jumping about like challenged kangaroos, gloating like fuck that United has given up a 2 goal lead.

Then a little ginger scouser smashes one into the top corner from a seemingly impossible angle that completely silences the hoard of grunting fuck wits. Que scenes of absolute delirium in Leppings Lane.

“You’re not bouncing anymore”

Magic

Or - from the Leeds game - "The Leeds fans are bouncing like pigs on a pogo stick" :)

this ... one of the best moments ever , the timing of the goal , especially with the whole filth doing their bounce looking like twats anyway but then the Duff Man makes them look complete twats and every blade goes bonkers !

Being soaked by the contents of my recently converted mates pint as Duffy scored that goal.
The lads from Liverpool (and a Red, which is a rarity). I made him an honourary Unitedite by virtue of attending some of our games last season.

When Duffy rifled that one in, he went as ballistic as me.

The point to this story? Don't ever let it be said that this club isn't fucking magical. It'll get hold of you and grip you for life if you allow it to.

Bouncing Day was fun but in the grand scheme of things clinching promotion was far more important.

You are correct at a cerebral level where we all put 'sensible Blade' hats on.

The thread title was 'best' however, so in my view and that of many others, Duffy the bounce killer wins hands down.

Smashed it.

When Duffy’s goal went in it was fucking magnificent. One of my top 5 Blades highlights.

Duffy's goal has to be he best.

Although Flecks against the Pigs was amazing too. So much build up to the game, 5 years of getting abuse from the dark-side & we shut them up inside 2 minutes. Cue absolute scenes in the pub :D
Never cared less about spilling a pint in my life.

I was stating my opinion. I don't need to be patronised.

Bit leftfield but the equaliser v Scunthorpe for two reasons. Firstly, my youngest son still had tears in his eyes from their goal when Billy scored; never was the saying from 'tears of sadness to tears of joy' been more apt. Secondly, our response was magnificent and summed us up, the indignity of conceding created an incredible response. It reminded me of Jag's goal away at Palace October 2005 just after they equalised and I knew on both occasions we were definitely going up.

For me it would be seeing Billy lift the trophy, when will we next see a Blades player lift a league champions trophy? As much as I loved stuffing the pigs I was one of many to miss the first two goals so that tarnished the day a little!
Yes, moments like that are very special, one of those days when I just didn't want to leave the ground, if only you could bottle that feeling...

Watching the replay back of Flecks goal I like the fact that the pig keeper catches it on the way back out whilst still rooted to the spot.
