My old man, he was in his early 20s, 1950s, a Hungarian immigrant living in Walkley, proudly showing off his first ever car. Something he could never have dreamed of back in Hungary. He was later a regular at BDTBL.

I know his cousin came with him from Hungary, and ended up living in Watford, my father told me the first game he went to was United away at Watford while he visited his cousin (who married an Italian girl,and 10 years later moved to Australia, we found each other via Facebook and did a 3 hour Skype session. That is another story). My dad worked as a Silversmith, he always worked on a Saturday till midday, then the pub, then down to Bramall Lane with friends to watch United. As a kid, I used to look forward to reading the program when he got home. Later he used to take me too.
If you ever met him,you would never guess he wasn't born in Yorkshire, he had the broadest Yorkshire accent.
