While on the subject of accounts (and I'll admit I know fuck all about numbers), there's been some talk about Wendy claiming their crowds are higher than they actually are. Some have said 'Why would they do that?' and 'They'll have to pay more tax', just a thought.

Maybe, to circumvent FFP, they are claiming higher crowds than actually attend. This would increase their revenue/turnover and therefore the ceiling before FFP kicks in. Maybe Chancer and all his dodgy companies are prepared to take the 'hit' of paying a bit more tax for a 'shit or bust' attempt at promotion to the 'promised land' of the PL when this extra outlay will look like small potatoes?

None as far as I'm aware, but the OP mentioned inflating crowd figures to inflate revenue. Inflating attendances with accurate revenue is probably just their normal business as we all know they get 80k every week with 40 million watching on beambacks around the world
