Everyone is different,some get carried away which is their prerogative,some sit on the fence and some play it down. I don't think there's a proper way to do it,whatever floats your boat.Whatever we think or say it will not influence the outcome.Just be yourself,it all adds to the tapestry.

When we're struggling some folks think we're going down, when we're doing well some folks thing we're going up. When we're somewhere in between some folks think we aren't going to go up and could still go down. Funny old world really!

I think we're promotion contenders and will finish in the top 6. Almost a third of the way through the season and we're going to have to suddenly start and continue performing totally different to what we have done over the last 50 or matches if we are to have any chance of avoiding the top 6. I don't think we're capable of that, which is why I think top 6 is inevitable. That should be good news I hope - but I do appreciate not everyone wants us to be in the Premiership and hold on to our best players and manager and see the world's greatest footballers down at the Lane every other week.

Too much historical pain and disappointment to ever get carried away.

Tbf I've seen a few getting carried away if not necessarily on here.

We're all different and I prefer to keep my powder dry, and hate complacency in any part of life.

We mustn't mistake enjoying it with getting full of ourselves though.

The one big positive is that we have a manager who won't allow the players to get ahead of themselves, and who has a good track record as a frontrunner.

Agree, doubt many think we will go up
However most think we have a realistic chance of promotion.

That’s the difference, we are genuine promotion contenders and that’s good enough for me.
Personally I expect top 6 but realise anything is possible.
Every time I make a prediction I underestimate Wilder he always over performs.
So it wouldn’t be a massive surprise if we finished top with 100 points again, with Wilder anything is possible.

The vast majority of Blades fans are being very cautious I think. We don't get carried away cos we've had so many disappointments in the past so to me its quiet optimism. I'm loving our start so far but expect us to have a few hiccups down the road. - What does fill me with confidence is this is how I felt last year when we went top and I thought we'd slip but we moved up a gear and destroyed league 1. Whilst I doubt we'll do that this year, we have been in this position before and clearly enjoy the feeling of success!!
