24 points after 12 doesn’t look like a season fending off relegation. Especially when you factor in injuries to 5 strikers at certain points in time as well as a few defensive one too.

Reasons to be cheerful without inviting the football Gods to shit on our dinner!

Wilder is just relentless. Leaves you thirsty for the next match as a fan so must ne great for the players.

I'm just happy watching my team play great football. We are as good as anything I've seen in this division so let's just keep smiling and winning. They are loads of teams in the Champiomship that on their day are excellent teams capable of challenging.
However the key word is consistency.

Fortunately for us Wilder seems to be the master of consistency.

The last match where we we dropped our standards was Walsall away last season.
I’ve never known it where we are gauranteed to perform every match.
Even under Warnock and Bassett we put in occasional really poor performances.

The longer you've been around, the harder to shake off the pessimism. I am beginning to believe that one of the factors in many of our cock-ups, the loss of key players through injury or selling them, is less likely to happen under Wilder, because we are now a good team and a good squad. Disasters like Hodgy's broken thumb or Ched's sudden disappearance are far less likely to happen, because the squad is strong, and replacements already around. To survive the recent injury crisis with the strikers was remarkable. The only loss I worry about now is Wilder himself - irreplaceable.

One interesting thing is teams have identified what they see as tactical flaws but we're still picking up points

Teams are defending in numbers and looking for quick counters predominantly down the right hand side

To counter this we seem to have a plan a ,b,c, and d and the only fluctuation in our form is down to not taking the chances that our attacking play warrants

If we had a Chris wood or if one of our lads was fit and on fire we could romp this league

As it is we are rotating half a dozen forward players all in varying degrees of form and fitness

Seems to be working ok so far

One of them need to stake a claim but for now Clarke is first name on the team sheet with Duffy also hard to drop

Considering the shambles they inherited the turnaround is nothing short of miraculous. Their achievements over the last three years cannot be overemphasised, neither this or Northampton were straight forward jobs to walk into but Wilder and Knilly are making it look easy.

The first three months have shown there is nothing to fear in the championship despite the nonsense coming out of the sty during the summer. We definitely have a top 6 finish in us if we are able to keep clear of key injuries, namely to the likes of Coutts, Fleck and OC. I expect Villa and Wolves will be there or thereabouts as well but I doubt anyone will run away like Newcastle and Brighton last season. Great time to be a Blade again.

The thing is we have hardly had a settled team all season I think we must have had more injured so far this season than all of last season and they have not been niggles they have put players out for weeks, the latest being freeman just after getting back from busted ribs. I think we can only get better all the squad are pulling their weight so does anyone really know what our best team is?

Surely part of enjoying the ride is talking about it, including the future, I don't feel anybody is getting in front of themselves, I hope I am excited in March, but to be honest I'm excited now and want to talk about the past and future.

I fully expect there'll be plenty of offers, but he's under contract and if he carries on as he has then he'll be worth even more next summer. Would he even want to leave us? Everybody seems to be having a bloody good time in S2. Would he swap that for a few readies and a spot on a lower-table Prem clubs' bench? Who knows.

I personally think that we are starting to look like the most consistent and most fluid side in the Championship, there are plenty of teams who on there day are what you would call a "Hell of team" but we seem to be doing it week in week out, with big injuries and players missing the continuity as not been messed with.

its a long season and the first target should be 50 points, and work from there, see where we end up, and enjoy the ride
