where have you got that one from then? big sam said no one else was leaving earlier

Benitez also said Robbie Keane wasn't leaving Liverpool. yet he's re-joined Tottenham.

We don't have to post rumours and stuff......but some like it.

If you don't bother what's the point of the forum?

If we only deal in real facts there would not be much to chat about would there?

Blackburn fans view him earleir in the season when he was linked to Stoke.

Mokoena is very experienced, hes played in Europe and has over 70 caps for his country. He won't pass it around, but he'll get stuck in and give 110% for Stoke if he signs

mmmmm I wonder where I have heard this before?

We could do with signing this fella, then we can all do the Mokoena.

That really is a shite joke, sorry.:D:D:D

Told ya....

BBC SPORT said:
Sheffield United have missed out on signing defender Aaron Mokoena from Premier League side Blackburn Rovers.
United had agreed to sign the 28-year-old on loan, but the deal failed to go through before the transfer deadline.
Manager Kevin Blackwell told BBC Radio Sheffield: "That was all done and dusted, but Blackburn had a couple of injuries and he had to stay.
"He is the player we lost out on and he was the one that was at the game with us at Preston on Saturday."
Blackwell also conceded that Mokoena's goal in Blackburn's 2-1 FA Cup victory over Sunderland on Wednesday means that the deal is unlikely to be resurrected.
"They are through in the next round of the Cup and if Sam [Allardyce, Blackburn manager] is looking to make a few changes he might feel that he needs him around," said Blackwell.

So on deadline day when i made this thread, it was not a possibility, so i was right

There was the loan window to come.... Now it would appear that injuries have been confirmed and he scored.... he'll be staying put.

I thought you asked a question?

... not stated that it couldn't happen.

Everyone can be right with hindsight ;)

It must be so utterly frustrating to have a player almost signed and sealed (to the point where he attended our game) only for injuries and circumstance to conspire against you.

As disappointing as the lack of activity may have been for us fans in the transfer window i am sure that it was doubly so for Kevin Blackwell.

I personally agree with those who are calling for the window to be abolished.
