No, I'm not the one complaining though.

Nor am I. If I went out of my front door and saw someone breaking the law - say, by setting fire to the local chippy - I'd try to stop them too.
How do you presume Pete McKee's earnings will be affected by my avatar? And rest assured, if he complained I'd remove it straightaway. Others haven't been so forthcoming so far. So your inference of hypocrisy is some way wide of the mark, I'm afraid mate!

Well I was going to buy that pic but now I just log on here and look at your avatar :D

Get Brooks on a 4 year deal with a pay increase

If them bastards out there come knocking and they will, we need to be well prepared and in the best possible position

Brooks seems a level headed lad who wants to play football. The way is career is progressing he is sure to be a regular in due course. The same cannot be said in the Premier at this stage

There's plenty of time for him to make the step up. There's even a chance under CW that it could be with us

Come on Brooksy, you know it makes sense

Said this before he broke into the team 'properly'. The one thing United can offer him - at 20, so he's not exactly a really young kid anymore - is football. If he goes to, say, Everton and takes two years to get going, by then he's 22 and his career's stalled. Two years more in the first team and he could move as a first-team regular - following Dele Alli, for example, who's less than a year older than Brooksy but has 21 caps for England. If he'd moved earlier, and now learned his trade at MK Dons with a lot of games under his belt, would he have progressed as quickly?

Ones that are probably worth bolting an extra year onto their current deals: Wright and Duffy, whose deals expire in the summer. Whiteman is in the same boat, though I could see being offered a longer term deal in January.

I would imagine Coutts will get an extension to match expiry with Fleck, possibly Moore too – both deals currently expire summer 2019. Then there's Brooks of course, whose deal is also up that summer.

I think Wright was (quietly) given a year extension in the summer.

I wish we got Coutts on a 3 year deal now rather than 2.

Whiteman should be tied down before he draws too much more attention to himself, at least 3 years ideally.

O'Connell should be given a similar contract to Fleck.

Then the big one, and possibly the most difficult, is Brooks. We need to do everything we can. His contract should reflect the key player he is and will become. I don't see how he has anything to lose by signing one either - football wise this is the best place for him for at least another 18 months, and if he wanted to leave United wouldn't stand in his way, we'd just get a better fee (and so would he and his agent I assume). It would just be a case of him earning more in the meantime, between now and leaving or us getting promoted.

Consultant? Try hiring a law firm to pursue your claim, competitive doesn't mean inexpensive. Just competitive pricing. We have the equivalent of brooks and Duffy and a great manager.
Sorry might have lost it a bit there. Look perhaps I might try to put it in a way you might understand. A team has a good track record and is moving up the league, they are trying their best working all hours and they get recognized as a good team and get more supporters which generates more money. Then the big team in the game, lets call them groldrum shats sees this small team being successful and offers a buy out, half the small team believes we can push on but the other half wants to sell up. Team spirit dissolves, arguments ensue, eventually what is left of that ballsy hard working unit has been sucked into a massive corporate structure , chewed up and spit out. I have a new team, a new agenda and am looking positively to the future, the next game, the next branch office the next 10 employees who will get a wage to support their families.

Talking to yourself? Or are you trying to tell me you've recently set up your own practice after a takeover by a large corporate? If the latter, you're preaching to the converted.

No it's not, it's a perfect example of hypocrisy, copyright is copyright.

You are also comparing copying a news story to arson?

Anyway, I don't buy your shit paper and never will. it is almost completely redundant, mainly due to this wonderful site.

No, I was saying it's not just because of the 'paper and journo whose copyright is being ripped off. The forum is great, but it doesn't take the place of professionals - trained in copyright law, libel etc - going out and reporting stuff, day in and day out.

It's the sanctimonious, "I know I'm right " attitude of Danny 04 that gets my goat. Perhaps when he goes to senior school he will learn some manners.

So sanctimony here Eddie. On some subjects I'll know more than others; just as, I'd wager, if I came to your place of work and told you how to do things, your knowledge would outstrip mine. That's life. The beauty of Internet forums is that people who have no knowledge or experience of an industry whatsoever, for some reason think they know it all. If you want bad manners, you'll have to look elsewhere on here - but probably not too far! :D
