This one's a no-no for me. Tuesday nights are a write off after this week.

I'm a bit perplexed as to why this isn't on general sale from the start though... we can have over 3000 tickets and it's on a Tuesday night! Only about 800 made the trip to Brizzle so why do they anticipate such a demand for this one?

I know some nutters are making the trip on Tuesday night :) Must be mad.

i dont know why im going......

You have nothing better to do :D

I will be looking at the importance of relationships in marketing and I expect text updates gentlemen :)

Early team news........

Blades will be without Chris Morgan (hamstring) v Southampton so Leigh Bromby is expected to start. Kevin Blackwell has no new injuries

:)

Saints are fully expecting to be hosting Sheffield United on Tuesday night despite heavy snow across the country…

The ground staff at St. Mary's arrived this morning to find a blanket of snow on the ground, but say that they do not expect the conditions to hinder their preparations for the match.

Head Groundsman Andy Gray said, "We are confident at this stage that the pitch will be ready for tomorrow night's match and we will do everything we can to try and make sure the game goes ahead.

"The pitch had already been covered with ground sheets to prevent frost damage and it will be all hands to the pump tomorrow to clear the snow, which in fact helps to insulate the ground."

Kick-off will be at 19:45 and Saints' safety management team will assess the stadium during the day of the game to ensure they are happy for the game to proceed from a health and safety point of view.

It's not like the away fans have to travel across the country to get there, when a mass amount of their routes are totally blocked. The country are being told not to travel unless absolutely necessary, yet they're quite happy for our fans to travel all the way down there on a Tuesday (freezing) night!!!

The pitch will be fine, but I think the police have to call it off.

The fans won't be safe trying to get there and back, and with the coaches setting off at 12.30, it's not plausible that we'd even get there if it starts again.

To be useful, I called Southampton 5 mins ago.

The hold music... I kid you not.... **Click** "I droooooveee alllllllll niiiiiiiiiiiiggghhhhhtttt...."

Anyway, the rather chirpy sounding young southern woman said...

"We haven't heard that its not going to be, so its on".

Rang the club, park and ride off M27 will be operating as per normal if anyone else was planning to use that. Snow where I am in Newbury is disappearing fast in the sunshine.

Picking up my nephew near Hook on the way, so that's another one....

Just had a bit more snow here, it keeps coming a little bit and then the sun comes out again....only potential problem for me is going via the nephews, he's in the middle of nowhere so prob untreated roads. :(

Just having a blizzard where I work in Wallingford, but apparently the snow from one a little while ago in Hook is now melting again. Hard to know what it'll be like.

really starting to melt in Ringwood now. Southampton seems to be doing the same so i've heard from some of my engineers. I'm getting into So'ton for about 5pm so should find out by then if things are gonna be ok.

Looking at the detailed 24-h forecast for Southampton it's set to be raining there - but inland, heavy snow showers in Newbury between about 6pm and midnight. Aarrggh!

nice!

I live in Gosport, think we're gonnna be ok from now on. Not so good for the inland folk!

I think the game and access should be ok tonight

If you have any more info just before 4, when I'd be setting off, that would be great.

Is Arturo in the squad for tonight?

Question in the title 10 fucking characters

i think he might just make the bech

skysports said he would get thrown straight into the action

Team news from the BBC:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/7861164.stm

Southampton will be without left-back Lee Molyneux for the visit of Sheffield United, following his sending off in the draw against Swansea.

Rudi Skacel is out of favour after handing in a transfer request so Andrew Surman or Joseph Mills could fill in.

Sheffield United will be without captain Chris Morgan after he strained his hamstring against Preston.

Otherwise Kevin Blackwell has no other new worries and could continue with Nick Montgomery and Gary Naysmith.

5-0 to the Blades................an 3-0 to the Blades against the pigs ! .... easy peazey !!!!!

Radio Sheffield say:

Kenny
Naughton Bromby Killa Naysmith
Halford Quinn Howard Monty Webber
Henderson

No word on subs.

Subs: Cotterill, Hendrie, Sun, Ward and Sharp.

No Lupoli.

Cotterill? where he come from? i thought he had died

Apparently no snow at all down there... lucky them!

Sounds like they're coming at us...

A shot from Howard cleared off the line...

Halford scored...
