I'm sorry but the thought of non-descript Saudis and Chinese business people running the club rather than McCabe makes me very nervous.

Really is a case of be careful what you wish for. Wait til one of them wants David Beckham to be manager instead of Wilder because it'll help the brand...

McCabe talked about stepping down about 5 years ago now. So there's no doubt that this has been in his mind for ages. He's not stupid. He's was never going to sell up his part of the club whilst our stock was low - i.e. in the 3rd tier of English football. He'd have to have been crazy to do that. But now we are back in the Championship it's a different matter. The resignation of family members from the Board and increased foreign representation, including two guys who are specialist in international business transactions, is highly significant. I really don't know why the prospect of McCabe stepping down should be surprising to anyone given that's he's said he wants to do it and now we've got blokes on the board who have been appointed because of their experience in dealing with such transactions. I mean, come on...you don't have to be Hercule Poirot to work that one out.

I don't think anyone has really mentioned their surprise

It's the issue of what the club is getting into that makes supporters nervous and that includes me

Not sure anyone is surprised. Nervous is probably more accurate. We've all seen this scenario dozens of times, and more often than not, it doesn't end well.

I would rather our Kev stay on board as a co owner. We would not be sold down the river with him still involved.

Let's have a crack at the prem over the next 2 or 3 seasons. If we get there, does Kev really need to sell up with the hundreds of millions that would come from it?

I would hope not.

Also to add.... in our league position, fan base, and with this management there must be investors out there looking at making quick returns on a relatively short term investment - that would be worrying :(

Let's stick to what and who we know and take it one step at a time.

It's inevitable that the BRP ant Zing Vaa are going to be running the show pretty soon so just gerron wi it.

That said the most outstanding words in that article are...... Be careful what you wish for!

I wonder if this is just speculation (probably), or if he is somehow ITK?

"..An additional investor, most likely from China where property developer McCabe and his Scarborough Group has extensive business interests, may be in place before the January transfer window opens...."

Worrying.

aye interesting

Some say pure conjecture. But is that conjecture based on er well conjecture?

The author doesn't seem to know that the Prince left the Saudi government some time ago and can therefore now rejoin our board.

He also doesn't clearly acknowledge that he and McCabe have been jointly underwriting losses since he arrived. The £20m he agreed to initially invest has probably all been done to keep us afloat in the 3rd division.

The bad news is it will probably cost even more to compete in the Championship.

Maybe Kevin is signalling that he can't fund further. We shall see.

He does seem unaware of facts that are in the public domain.

Sorry, but I have to comment.... That is a cracking rack!!
How about these beauties...

I have no intention of reading it as generally theres 5% fact and 95% conspiracy, but i'd probably come to this conclusion too if i did read it

It's essentially plausible, well-written guess work.

I wonder if this is just speculation (probably), or if he is somehow ITK?

"..An additional investor, most likely from China where property developer McCabe and his Scarborough Group has extensive business interests, may be in place before the January transfer window opens...."

I think it's more likely a stab in the dark.

Aye and I bet there isn't a Man Citeh fan alive who doesn't yearn for the glory days of Peter Swales n'all.

Just sayin' like... ;)
