Player Suggestion Lewis McGugan

He's definitely one worth talking to, if only to gauge where he's at mentally. I thought Coutts looked like he'd mentally checked out under Adkins and we've seen the resurrection job Wilder's done with him. If it turns out McGugan is motivated to redeem himself then you never know.

My main concern is the reports that he's had multiple loan offers from interested clubs since being frozen out at Wednesday and he turned them down in favour of training with the reserves - not promising as far as his character goes. Shame, as he's proven himself to have real talent when he's invested.
Unless he really wanted to play n prove himself at South Barnsley??

Or shit in Wendy's dug out. That would do for me.
Maybe even run to their kop when he nets and kiss our badge!!!. That would be mint.

He could do a Sammy Nelson to all 3 sides of the Swill,it would be worth a 3 game ban

My pig supporting mate is fuming at how McGugan has been treat by CarvaROFL. Claims he's one of, if not the best MC they have and offers something different.

Id certainly be open to this, Wilder knows his onions, he will know within a 10 minute conversation whether he'd help or hinder us.

He's got an awful attitude, hence why his careers bombed.

Tell him to fuck off if he comes anywhere near the lane, and when he gets there to fuck off a little bit more.
And you know this because .....
Apparently he has spent the last year doing his coaching badges ,alongside Rotherhams manager as he knew he wouldn't feature with Carvahal. That doesn't strike me as 'an awful attitude' as Carvahal has many fall outs with players better than Mcgugan. Wages would be the biggest problem as this was why he has had to run his contract down for both sides to afford it.

I'm sure you just like disagreeing with me for the sake of it.

The bloke literally hasn't played football for a year and half. Wasn't playing at Watford due to his attitude and left. Before that the same thing happened at Forest.

Don't touch with a ten foot barge pole.

I think the poor little lamb is just a bit lost and needs an arm putting around him. I'd sign him and pair him with Dexter Blackstock. Them two played well together at Forest a few years ago.

I disagree with you because most of the time you are wrong :)

I'd go hell for leather and get Ravel Morrison in too. What could go wrong?

He probably has a bit of an attitude but like others have said he isn't the only player at Wednesday to fall out with the manager.

He is worth talking to I reckon and would be an upgrade on some of the midfielders we have. Half tempted to sign him just to annoy Wednesday.

Good player, but seems like a proper twat. If he signed, that would mean Wilder has sat down with him and come to the conclusion that he's a twat that's worth his time, and a twat he can handle and won't be a negative influence in any way.

All good either way.

I don't think it would annoy them though, and would be more of a hindrance to us than owt.
He's wasted his considerable talent at 3 seperate clubs. Wilder won't wear that.

It would annoy them if he scored the winner at Hillsborough in September. :)

So I'm wrong about Lewis McGugan having a bad attitude?

Fuck me, you seriously are backwards
Backwards ,boring deluded cunt apparently ,is that how you get out of debates when you are out of your depth ?. Seeing as you are so keen on twitter ,remember the rule don't say anything you wouldn't say to someones face..

Out of my depth? With you? I'm still in the paddling pool lad.
'Where is the evidence McGugan has a bad attitude?', dear me, do some research. 3 clubs have bombed him out.

Given that CW places such emphasis on players' attitudes, I'd say it would be very unlikely he'd be interested in McGugan if the rumours about him are even close to being true.

There is obviously a good player in there and if it were based on ability alone, one that may well suit Utd. However, I'm sure he's more likely to get a contract elsewhere - teams like Preston, Bolton or even Blackburn may well be interested.

And everyone at the Lane is an angel ?? A manager manages difficult players ,3 clubs and managers gave him very good contracts. Billy Sharp has had 3 times as many clubs ,it isn't always attitude why players move on.

He's got the ability as others have said, I'm sure Wilder is aware of him and the situation :)

Always thought he has ability. Serious question marks about why he never seems to stay anywhere. Often seems to start very wel and fades.

Not worth taking a chance on for me. We have attacking midfield players that are more reliable.

I'm thinking with this evidence we can put any interest in McGugan on the back burner. He's been doing his coaching badges with the Northern Ireland set up and this is the shape he's in at the minute.

I'd hope there's some photoshop going on for his sake!

That is a fair old bay window on the lad

Good Pele, that has re-awakened my hopes of playing professional football!
