How many will we add before Thursday?

He can play up front. He won't and shouldn't be going anywhere now Lavery's injured. Hanson's leaving and there's talk Evans may be injured again too, so it's a non starter, certainly if we don't sign two strikers.
He's also the only natural winger we have in the squad. Lavery would've been a better candidate to go out on loan than him.

The lad has pace as well, plus he has one of the hardest shots I have seen in recent years

There was talk about Brayford's wage doubling as he took a huge paycut to join us.

I think the ins are going to depend on the outs.

I think we'll bring in a midfielder (Leonard) and a striker (on loan).

If we sell Hanson or Brayford, or loan others, then I can see more coming in.

Ive only seen two comments about Brayfords increase. One said he'd gone from £10k to £18k, now it's doubled. FFS.

God knows how much he'll be costing us if he's still here on the first.

I bet Coady is on a lot more than £8k p.w. At least twice that and probably more.

"Nunes has brought none of that chaos. Although several of the club's British players are out of favour — with talisman Dave Edwards on his way to Reading — Nunes has revitalised 24-year-old Conor Coady by converting him to a centre-half. Coady is thought to earn £8,000-a-week, a tenth of Neves' wages."

I stand corrected but sounds very low. However if it's right then that would explain perhaps why we have bid for him. At that level I think he would fit into our wage structure.

I can see Nathan Thomas being sent out on loan to give him some valuable game time.
Hanson being sold and hopefully Brayford being moved on.
Wilder will be looking to bring in a young central defender, box to box or more defensive midfield player and two strikers one of who can play wide.
I would have thought the young central defender was CCV. Doubt very much he would add another central defender under 21 to the squad.

i think a striker is key. We are defo short on a tall, mobile, quick forward. I could see that one being a young premier league loan deal.

I thought the Coady talk had died a death to be honest?
If we are still running with it though 1) I reckon he's on more than 8k per week 2) even if he is I reckon we can afford it 3) paying one new signing a bit more than some of our current squad doesn't necessarily mean that it will destroy all our morale.

I think we could do with two maybe three players for when injuries, suspensions and possibly a lack of form kick in but I'll be happy making sure we don't get rid of any of our best players just for starters. There will be clubs after our players and it's vital that we keep hold of these if we want to keep making the rapid improvements we are doing, first and foremost.

Lavery out for two months at least so we are even shorter in the striker department now.

We might even go and sign another 4 now.

With Hanson leaving, Lavery injured and Evans' fitness questionable we'll be signing 2 strikers.

Do we sign a winger in addition to those strikers as well as a central midfielder?

I think we're in for our busiest ever deadline week.

How does a winger get a shirt? Cannot see us moving from the current formation.

Evans sounds more long term than first feared, we could need another 4 at this rate and it's imperative we don't get rid of anyone now.

I'm hoping for plenty of both rain and sunshine so the money tree prospers.

We don't sign four and it'll be bedlam on here.

Let's hope Quinny comes back though, seems the lad has received the ex player hyperbole and can now cover just about every position on the pitch. Presumably his right foot has got much better and he can run rather than jog back when we lose the ball upfront.

He hasn't used either foot much in the last twelve months. If Reading can manage without him, a better team like us certainly can. He wasn't great last time and he sure ain't improved.

I would be surprised at 3 or 4.

The spend on players will speak volumes about McCabe and BRP's intentions on their intentions, stick or twist?

I'm guessing CW is going to have to cobble together while they get buyers or investors who are prepared to invest millions without getting control.

Once a Blade, always a pessimist

Hope I'm wrong but have a feeling it's going to be are usual none

I hope we sign no-one.

and sell brooks, and fleck, and even Billy, go on then, coutts too.

It happens every year, the money will end up down the back of McCabes sofa is Brussells

We need about 4 players in now, for sure. A bit worrying with this boards lack of interest in the past. What we do know for sure is Wilder will be pushing hard. It won't be for lack of effort on Chris's part.

One loan, one perm, two out (and both of those shoulder shruggers).

Despite the injuries don't see it being more than 1 possibly 2.

Feels like we're leaving it late if we want to pull of something sizeable or bring in a few.

Still fingers crossed. I'm Sure wilder is working hard atm - now the time for the board to back him up.

Don't forget the Sage of the South Wests ' "Wilder sacked by Christmas" claim. This seasons "Duffy will be sold in January"

Quinny doesn’t jog. He scampers. Has Andy Giddings taught you nothing over the years?
