Things feel different tonight.

For the last 6 years we've had a few good times but with the likes of Spurs and Southampton it felt like we were the little guys punching above our weight. In league games a win was what we expected.

Today we went toe to toe with Derby as 2 equals. We dominated them and pounded them into submission.

My moment was Flecky running 60 yards back and putting in a fucking amazing last ditch block - that and Jam running 100 yards to join in at the end.

Yes that moment when Fleck ran all that way for that tackle summed up what we are about .
It was an unbelievable emotion at the end when Billy scored 3rd and didnt realise Blackman had run all the way to the end to celebrate

It was a great day, culminating in the whole team, some running 100 yards, celebrating the third together in front of a wildly enthusiastic Kop. So much to enjoy and appreciate with pride today. We beat a good established, expensively assembled championship side , not by upanatem underdog spirit but by quality football. That's what fills me with pride.

The first half was a delight. Completely one-sided. They couldn't get near us. Surge after surge of Blades attacks, punctuated by spells of easy possession football to get our breath back on a hot afternoon.

Second half, they'd had a bollocking. They mixed it up and disrupted our passing game. They succeeded to an extent but without dominating as much we more than matched them for endeavour and fought every loose ball, every inch of the pitch. Fleck and Jack the Hat were destructive machines. It was a comprehensive team performance with nobody opting out.

Well done you wonderful wizards.

I didn't go today, but this sounds wonderful. Thanks Pinchy

Yep we beat them with playing good passing football
I bet that was sweet for Coutts discarded by them superb footballer.

Indeed - no one will see a better GAME saving tackle than Flecks today.

It was 1 nil at the time - we could have been looking at penalty, red card, down to 10 men and a 1 - 1 score line going into half time.

Fleck? you WERE exceptional in that moment.

Wilders principle of NO FANNYING ABOUT has brought us this far. Not the Clough/Adkins tippy tappy, let's-knock-about-it-in backwards-triangles cowardly bollocks era.

Did anyone notice when the third goal went in, the group hug of Wilder/Knill and maybe the Physio (?)
Great togetherness, and a good game too!

We played some wonderful football today just about total control in the first half, made an expensive Derby team look very ordinary.

Really really please with that performance and result.

That was how I was hoping this season would go, coming up against expensive teams playing that god awful possession football with players that aren't really up for it.

After the Cardiff and Middlesbrough games I was a bit worried but today are style of play and fighting spirit shone through.

I know derby gifted us the goals but the way we dominated the game has certainly settled my nerves.

Really pleased with the midfield and defence and if Billy gets a sniff he'll always bang it in.

Just need a quick powerful striker to get behind these big defenders now

Well chuffed tonight

I was shocked at Blackman joining in. Yet it was pleasing to see. Especially as a new to group member

Settling down to watch the Championship - looking forward to this :)
if Carlsberg did Saturday nights................

I actually didn't notice that their keeper had gone up the field and couldn't actually see the goal area with everyone standing up around me so when Billy passed the ball at medium pace towards the goal I thought " what the fucks he doing !" ....

First half only team in it despite their charitable défense. Stats say they had something like 15 shots but I can't remember Blackman even moving for most of them they were just hopeless punts.

Flecks tackle amazing even the players joined in the applause. Samir was just getting into his stride before...
Thought Ched did what was necessary and showed his experience towards the end.
Who missed the open goal in the second half following the cross, was it Ched and Stevens ? Looked like a sitter , could be wrong.
If Derby are considered a quality outfit at this level then we've nothing to fear

Same here I thought he's just rolled it back to Derby's keeper, the post on Kop partially obscured my view then I thought where is their keeper? I was stunned when the ball rolled into the net. I was still looking around for their keeper. Fleck's track back and tackle superb saved certain goal just before half time. Freeman's scooped ball in first half was quality. He has a lot of skill for a fullback. Stevens had a good game too full of running. I thought Derby were poor first half but we made them look poor by outrunning them in midfield.
