explain to me again why we need 4 x 5 million pound players

because it's a different league to the one wednesday finished 4th in last year (but nobody told them).

9th home win n the bounce dominated and out shot regular top 8 team Derby
creating chances got in players that are starting to fit in and are in top 6
and still above the swine

Because instead of doing well, Wilder would have us pushing for top two with that much cash...lMO.
Great win today Blades

we don't but in my opinion we still need another quality option as a partner for Billy.

If we can get one for 500k then great but i'm not sure that's possible. Therefore we may have to spend a bit more. Not saying 5m but perhaps closer to that than we'd like.

totally agree we are just one cog short, evans, lavery and clarke will do their bit, but we really need a partner for billy, happy with the cover and options everywhere else, but to push on we have to get another forward in

Not so sure, would like to see how Evans does with 90 minutes and don't forget we have Brooks who could play just off Sharp - would rather us sign a pacy wide man if I'm honest.

How we played lads?

Couldn't make it today

Worthy winners?
Fortunate? (Not that it matters)

Pigs failed to get 3 points (almost perfect)

Yes, but it sounds like Lavery stepped up today ............... and we haven't seen the best of him yet. Are there really better options out there that are value for money?

To back the best manager this club has had for decades and help our push for promotion...yes promotion. If he can do what he has on a budget imagine what he might be able to do with more money. Coady would already be here and the illusive centre forward to help Billy would be within reach.

The two are not mutually exclusive, money isn't 'spunked' if it's on good players whose value increases.

UTB!

just saying just because derby had a player worth 7m on the bench today , but looked miles behind us
buying expensive individuals is no guarentee of success

but we don't play wide men, we play 2 strikers

lavery did ok but we need goals from elsewhere. billy cant carry us all season, just think we need another option, but it's all abaht opinions

Therein lies the issue. Spending large amounts of money is always a gamble. You may get a star forward who bangs in 15+ a season, or you may not.

Imo the overwhelming reason we should push the boat out (just a little bit more) is because Wilder should back himself to bring out the best in any player. If there's someone we think has the ability but has been inconsistent in the past, we have every reason to think that it's here he has the best chance to push on to be a class player.

Very well, first half, controlling decent periods and mostly limiting a dangerous Derby side to the break. The luck of the goals covering up how much we deserved a lead. Second half, we looked to sit deeper and absorb the pressure, struggled to keep hold of possession but still limited Derby to few real looks at goal until a bit of sloppy defending and a sign for seven minutes added on.

Same as I've said so far this season, you can see the gaps in our side but you can also see that the massive gulf in class we were told about is more of a small step. Some teams like Cardiff and Boro will expose us, plenty will drop points to us.

They don't Chris Wilder managing them though...
