At least with pace we'd be fast and shit... like when we had JCR on the wing...
Remember that time we had Luton Shelton. He was like lightning and we were like unbeatable or something.

Littlejohn and pembo were the fastest ever and pembo had a long throw.Remember that time we had Luton Shelton. He was like lightning and we were like unbeatable or something.
The only thing Chelsea see in him is ££££. Barring some sort of miracle Blackman stands no chance of breaking into the Chelsea first team, and they've only extended his contract to hopefully be able to sell him for more money when a decent enough offer comes in. That's how Chelsea operate.Only thing i can say about jamal is that chelsea have seen something in him and got a new 4 yr contract.he remind's of a young dida and he turned out ok.
Great post! I agree that a sizeable section of our fans are been over critical but we're Blades and been critical and negative is second nature to us - although I try to be a clapper! Here's my thoughts on some of the above you mentioned and some you didn't summarise.
Blackman is quality and was definitely not at fault for Cardiff's first or Middlesborough's. The corner from Cardiff was very fast and landed at the edge of the six yard box and he couldn't have got there on time unless he decided prior to the corner been taken that he was going to leave his line and that would be madness. Blackman might not be the most commanding keeper in the league but nor is Moore and Blackman is been exposed regularly at the minute because we're playing decent opposition away from home and our new to the league.
Freeman like many in the team is finding his feet. He can't attack as he used to because if he does he leaves big gaps behind him and we'd be overloaded and everyone would be critical of him defensively for been over committal! Freeman, like Stevens, Lafferty and probably Baldock are best going forward but aren't wingers and aren't capable of taking a man on either - they're still defenders by trade but overlap well and can get up and down the pitch well. We can't expect Freeman or Stevens to be as effective as they would be in League One but neither does it mean that either aren't good enough - its just about them and the team, getting used to a new level, with less possession and we need to make the most of the chances and opportuinities we do have to attack.
Clarke and Sharp in this league, although both capable at this level, both rely on service and lack pace. I can't see either scoring many unless we improve in creating chances from both wide or in the middle. In my view we desperately need a quality player in the number 10 role. Someone who has pace, can take his man on, shoot at goal from distance for Billy and Clarke to follow up at and to provide service to the front two. Marcus Maddison maybe.
We're figuring out our formation. I don't think Wilder wants to play 3-5-2 all season, or at least for 90 minutes in every game. I don't see why Thomas has come for that and I can only think that in time we'll see more of him and maybe revert more to 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1 with Billy up top and Evans behind in the middle with two attacking mids on the flanks such as Carrurthers and Duffy.
As fans we need to be patient and realistic - I know that's easy to say but Boro and Cardiff away are games you look at pre-season and think a draw would be like a 4 - 0 win in League One! Boro and Cardiff have both spent far more than we have and have been at this level or above for years and years. We know Tufty still wants a few more signings and I reckon they'll either be players with attributes we don't have - such as pace - and maybe that'll be a youngster forward from the Prem to come off the bench etc. Or it'll be a permanent signing of someone of substance who can immediately go into the side sand make a difference like Coady.
But if they didn't rate him, they wouldn't anticipate getting a big fee for him.The only thing Chelsea see in him is ££££. Barring some sort of miracle Blackman stands no chance of breaking into the Chelsea first team, and they've only extended his contract to hopefully be able to sell him for more money when a decent enough offer comes in. That's how Chelsea operate.
What?
No, take out the bit about being right, THEN, and only then, is it like being married
good effort but you forgot stearmanJesus. Is there any f*cker left? It feels as though collectively, everyone has been written off, we might as well give up and go home now.
- We miss Moore and Blackman isn't good enough.
- But that Moore isn't good enough and wouldn't have saved some that Blackman did
- Freeman is off the pace defensively but OK going forward
- Basham tries hard but is being exposed as not being a natural centre half
- Stevens isn't good enough
- We've done well to get value for money, but that we haven't spent enough.
- Fleck may be lacking confidence at this level and can't deal with the physicality
- Coutts is off the pace and maybe can't play with Fleck
- Carruthers was both our most and least creative player simultaneously
- Our strikers aren't good enough to play together or lead the line on their own
- They're taking too long to shoot
- They aren't daring to run at their men
- Lavery isn't championship quality
- And Hanson definitely isn't so don't bother trying him
- And Evans runs around like a headless chicken and probably wasn't even Wilder's signing.
Additions are undoubtedly to come and we've played three promotion contenders back to back. That isn't a fair basis on which to adjudge our overall chances this season but if there are gaps the games have been sufficient to probably force the board into spending now. Trouble is at this rate, we'll need to fork out for a new starting 11 apparently.
We'll be fine! In Tufty I trust.
Next two weeks will tell us all we need to know about the board, the next two months will tell us all we need to know about the current players.Wilder is still getting used to this level, with the tools he has to hand. We have already seen that it may be folly to continue with his tried and tested at Div One level 3-5-1-1 (or slight variants) and he has reverted to 4-4-2 when we have fallen behind in both matches recently. That's a step change from the 'haven't got a fucking clue' plan B strategy we have seen with Clough and Adkins when after sixty minutes we aren't making much progress. I have no doubt Wilder has other plans up his sleeve in consultaion with Knill and his other backroom staff. What I am trying to convey is that we are a work in progress now in a new era and division. It's not as though we are at the same level like we were last August and rightly shipping criticism for our (as it was back then) lack of uplift in ability and results.
Often said, but lets see how this is at ten or so games in, after our much vaunted game against the shit from S6. That will be the benchmark for us.

No idea what that's supposed to signify but have a like for the effort.

I still think the skinflints weren't as bad as the crooks though.

So, you think KM may be possessed by the spirits of former chairmen, cursed to repeat the mistakes of the past, selling Jones and Currie to the dirty bastards, until they're exorcised by a boxing priest? It was a ham fisted attempt that due to Dick being deceased, we'd need to talk to him through a medium. But the picture is from The Exorcist, pretty sure he's not really a medium.
Basically, pretty shit attempt but thanks for the like anyway![]()

If you have to explain it, it isn't funny. As BushBlade has alluded too!
You could have at least posted a still of her pissing on the floor or a video of her telling the Priest his mother sucks cocks in hell. It wouldn't have explained it either but....
Now he was a strange 1,wonder what he is doing now.Yes, he's a Jute Mining, Cross Dressing, False Count, Interpol Dodging bastard![]()
