Ched on fire!!!!

Tonight's game is just one goal, one substitute appearance.

But - if he never goes on to achieve anything else in a United shirt it will be a powerful night for Ched and his family to reflect back on and what it represents. Tonight was a chance to feel some closure over 5 years of being away, over years of injustice, over feelings of letting himself and his family down and perhaps of letting United fans down. Noone will have felt more relief tonight than Ched and for that reason, it may only be a goal against Walsall, but it's a monumental one no less.

"Sounds"!?, he did very well, I thought he stood out since replacing Hanson, got stuck on, influential in all 3 goals, never stopped and dealt with everything thrown at him! We will also come up against worse players than Bakayoko and Otzumer this season!, Walsall were the best team we played last year, and the only ones that made us look league 1 last year also.

im not arguing we have a difference of opinion, mine is its just 1 game and im not getting carried away, but i respect your views too, have to agree to disagree for now pal

Not just some of our opinions then, Wilder seems to think along the same lines.....................funny that.
#chedhaters.

Thought Brayford did ok.

Just OK is not what Beard is about. When I wore my Fear The Beard T shirt he was tearing up and down, leaning on the shoulder never stopping.

Beard tonight was playing without desire.

Thanks for the memories Beard. You gave us excitement at a time when it was in short supply.

Well done Chedwyn. Promising start that.
Goal and assist.

UTB
Well said mate cus id thought we had lost again to Walsall!!...but oh no one of our strikers comes off the bench and changes the game..well done "billy"..wats that? it wasnt billy.."it was ched"..well would you believe it eh. Well done Ched Evans gr8 to have u back. COYRAWW

Why do people keep thinking Evans will be a world beater in the championship....he wasn't before his mishap and he certainly won't be after......I hope I'm wrong but I doubt it....bit part player at best
We just don't know - that's the truth. Why not give him a chance without doubting him?

Seemed that many were of the opinion that Ched absence from pro football and dodgy time at Chessie showed he was past it and could no longer sprint or (probably) even control a football.
Can we agree to at least move on from that?

Don't forget the assists for both the other goals pal, how far away were you sat!??

What a great outcome to a poor performance. Ched winning us the game was the best case scenario for tonight. Great to see.

His goal was reminiscent of what we always used to see from him. Striking it very cleanly with power. I don't think we have anyone else who would've scored from that chance. And I'm sure it was his goal.

The hysteria on both sides is so tiring. He came on tonight and contributed (no goals, technically). What frustrates me the most is the extremes of cheering him more than any other player, saying he's been 'brilliant' and all this other over the top madness.

Don't take it away from him tonight, the game changed when he came on and that's great. Why aren't people posting threads saying how fantastic Nathan Thomas is and voting him MOM?

Whether Evans turns out good or not, I am not looking forward to the journey where half of the fans will overhype every little thing he does, and the other half will condemn any mistake or lacklustre performance he has. Can we please just treat him like any other player? No. We can't. That's why I dislike the fact he has re-signed for us!
Absolutely agree with that. He's not the devil of the messiah. . . Eight hundred threads over the season saying the same shit are reason enough not to have signed him for me.

No one has actually described what he's actually done on this thread either which is the most infuriating part to those not in attendance.

Played his socks off, scored/sort of, assisted both the others, added pace, skill and lifted the other players, other than that n listening to some on here, he did fuck all!!

Worth a spot on the bench for the Boro match me thinks.

In fact, bringing Ched and Brookes on for the last 30 mins to change a game could be a powerful tool to possess.

If he has a similar impact at Boro I'll admit I'm wrong.

I'll keep my powder dry until he does it against full strength championship opposition.

One things for sure he's better than Hanson.

Tonight he was better than Lavery too
Wilder said in his post match interview that Ched has given himself a great chance to be involved against Middlesboro.

He didn't score. His shot was good but was deflected in. He provided a very good pass to a team-mate to score. He managed to start part of a game and finish it. He has played part of a game against a League 1 side who are not going to trouble their playoff places this season. Get real ffs. Lets see how he gets on. Its almost embarrassing some people wetting themselves as they are. Have a wank in November if he has a regular starting spot and is on a goal per two games.

well ill tell you what come the end of the season this thread is going to come back and haunt 50 percent of the fan base
