Don't disagree at all but Kev does like his 'bums on seats' signings and I think Coady could be one. You only have to read the responses on here to see that. He seems a solid pro and a Wilder type of character. Clough played him out of position for a while, and I think that was as much to see how he'd react as a footballing necessity. He didn't moan or complain, he just went out and gave his all. And he knows what we're about.
As you say, the only sticking point would be the cost. Maybe there's a deal to be done?

Well, we have got the Walker/Maguire bonus money.

If we've bid then I'd imagine we've been given some sort of encouragement to do so. Maybe Coady fancies it, or maybe for some bizarre reason Wolves are touting him around so they can replace him with someone more Portuguese for £20m? Doubt it though.

As I said, I don't think this is a possibility now but it could be the sort of signing we're looking at next summer. I'm happy enough with that, it's an exciting prospect.
