Some of this is a bit heart over head, and hope over expectation - including the bottom 3. Think Cloughy will keep Burton up, he doesn't generally do exciting but don't think he's ever been relegated either. I don't think Sunderland will plummet either.

I've spent way too long tinkering around with this table, for my own sanity this is what I ended up with, I could've spent hours moving teams up or down a place and putting them back etc, I used to love the football ladders you got at the start of a season when I was a kid, anyone else remember them?

Wishful thinking maybe but i still reckon we'll give it a right go even if we do fall short in the end. Play offs might be a push first season back but there's still more than enough quality in this squad to finish top half at least imo and that's what we should aim for. No way will we struggle.

On the back of Roygbiv post looking at other Championship supporters predictions and given we did something similar last year (I got our position right for once!) - and it is always fun to look back on these in May - what is everyone on here's prediction for the final championship table at the end of the season?
/QUOTE]

Don't have time to shuffle the pack and predict everyone's place in the table but I think Blades will be in top 2 for most of season and just drop into the playoffs at the end.
Promotion is on the cards and is Coming!!

An outside perspective for you. Bare in mind I do tend to get these horribly wrong and any team in the next month or so could sign a few world-beaters, but as it stands, in my head at least it looks something similar to this...

1 - Derby
2 - Birmingham

I like the look of that, a finish above the pigs would be a big slap in the face for the deluded lot at S6.

Pigs won't finish in the play offs with that idiot in charge. They'll finish 8th to 10th unless they sack him quickly. Imagine Wilder with that squad?

2. Villa/Boro
3. Birmingham
4. Derby

6. Leeds

A decent summary of all the Championship teams here (it's The Mail!) Our lot are summed up by:

SHEFFIELD UNITED return to the Championship for the first time since 2011 and are being whispered about as dark horses for the top six.

Manager Chris Wilder courted controversy by bringing Ched Evans back to Bramall Lane following his prison term and it remains to be seen whether the striker can resurrect his career.

Billy Sharp, who scored 30 times in League One last season, will need to prove he can step up. Most likely is that the Blades will consolidate at this level.

Also the usual fawning article about Leeds, including:

The club have sold well over 18,000 season tickets  — vastly more than in any summer since they dropped out of the Premier League — and there are unmistakable reasons why...
...as boss Thomas Christiansen looks to banish 'Damned United' title.

Er, good luck with that. Leeds are hated throughout football.

How we all getting on?
Few are doing awful. Why on earth anyone thought Preston would go down ( they’ve finished 11th past two seasons and have young improving squad. Why would they finish below Burton? Burton are always going to be certain for the drop
With their quality. Makes for funny reading though! Saying that, I didn’t post it on here but I had Ipswich bottom three.

Just for a little perspective. Couldn’t find my own prediction but I did go for a Sheffield play off double

The Championship is so fucking hard to predict. It's a waste of time. I got 5 of the top 6 though.

whatever happened to Norwich City?

They appointed a useless greasy German.
