So, there are 23 home league games and you save £2 on each - that's a £46 saving for a start. Then one of those games is free, so assuming this is an adult buying in advance of matchday, in the cheapest seats, that's another £20 saving - meaning a minimum saving of £66 quid - for your £25 outlay. So, in the worst case scenario, if you were planning to attend all the home league games you'd save £41.

If you only went to roughly half the home league games, i.e. let's call that 12, you'd save £24 up front, plus you'd get one of these games for free, so call that another £20 based on the above example, that's a saving of £44 minus your £25 outlay = £19 saving.

If you went to only 6 games you'd save £12 up front, plus one game would be free, so another £20 saving = £32 saving minus your £25 outlay, so you save £7.

If you went to 5 games ....you save £5.

If you went to 4 games - you lose £17.

Seems like a good deal to me?

You're forgetting the booking fee which wipes out the discount ;)

Only working from memory, but a few seasons ago, the card cost £15 and the discount was £2 per game. If I'm right, it's not such good value these days. In addition, if you book online, there's a £1 charge, which cancels out the £1 saving.

I'll renew my card, without expecting a free ticket at any point (I've never claimed one yet). Using the card is convenient and as both Trig Jnrs have cards as well, we can book tickets and seats together.

Trouble is, you have to be careful who you end up sat next to ;)

Booking fees are one of my big pet hates.
For the recent Kell Brook boxing they added 10% on top of the ticket price calling it a booking fee.

It's like when you have a quote for new windows or a conservatory etc
The sales rep tells you a price, then says "plus VAT on top".

Just tell us the f----ing price, no smoke and mirrors.

Quoting ex-VAT to non-trade customers is a joke and an insult.

I think it's outrageous, that if I wish to go to the match, I have to contact the ticket office and tell them I want my ticket.

I mean, like, they should just know.

In typical fashion I've forgotten to claim my free ticket! I'm guessing there can't be many Cat B games left to claim the free ones - Millwall and maybe Preston?!

Do you just go to the ticket office to claim your free ticket and is it likely these two games will be Cat B?

(I've already bought a ticket for Burton tomorrow night)

I did last season but don't see why you couldn't call the ticket office. Your membership card is credited with entry for that match.
