Billy (and also Coutts and Basham) had a "gentleman's" agreement that wages would go up on promotion to the Championship. They would go up to the level they where previously on at their respective Championship clubs prior to joining the Blades. Substantial increases in all cases.

The club have not kept their "gentlemans" agreement and they are all about £2k per week light.

So I suspect SunJi ain't bullshitting in this case.

Interesting. It's extremely rare for me to be ITK but I was told from a very good source a couple of months ago that a few players were unhappy about money, Billy being one of them.

As has been mentioned elsewhere it's £600k pa if your suggested gap is correct, so not insignificant.

There's obviously agent negotiation ongoing but no guarantee on an eventual agreement.

If they're unhappy about money, that's tough.

Presumably they were happy when they signed their contracts.

He got the teams right. He got Adkins being turfed out and Wilder being wanted right.

He got the fixtures right last week.

Some of his stuff hasn't come off but then that is probably because wjat was expected to happen hit a glitch. The fact he has got very detailed things like line ups and fixtures right tells you he has a source and that this is legit as these are things you cant get right without.

He is always very vague and high level but I at least take note of what he/she posts above anyone else claiming itk - as we know for certain he has a source that feeds inside information.

Adkins being sacked and Wilder being appointed were not surprising to lots of us. Hardly needed to be ITK to come up with those two predictions.

In that case I'd expect him to go for midfielders like Adeyemi and Carey on free transfers than mess about trying to agree fees for Leonard and Holmes for well over a month.

No. Our experienced manager has had a private conversation with a close friend who he no doubt trusts. In that private conversation he was critical of the club owners. The said close friend then told a load of others in the genuine belief that they would not betray the confidence.

Both Tufty, who has been in the game for decades, and his close friend, who must also know the score, will be astonished and horrified that it's now all over the internet.

The odd thing is that Tufty, a man who has demonstrated repeatedly a willingness to speak his mind and tell it as it is, is covering up this scandal and faking a conspicuous appearance of contentment.

I agree but if they aren't happy about money and discuss it with others that is their decision, it will leak out.

There might be something in the 'Billy is unhappy with the offer' thing, but is that just called 'negotiation'.

Apart from DirtyLeeds under Ridsdale, no football club immediately rolls over and stumps up what is asked for. There's 2 intelligent posts above this one explaining how unlikely it is that three different agents, in three different transfers, agree the same deal, but each choose to not get it in writing.

It isn't 'sensational' but it prooves that he is privvy to 'some' info on the club before you, I or any average punter.

This does not mean we should all hang on Sun's every word or indeed that everything he posts is from a source - but we do know he has a source up to last week - and therefore I do not instantly dissmiss whay he posts.
