It's ok, I've just heard he's been found guilty of making a career based on who is dad is.

Trial over.

More importantly, how many players has wilder signed after a trial?........None. Keep it that way for now Christopher please!!!

You are all wrong, Bruce must be a great player and better than Harry McGuire who he kept out of the Hull City side. DOH just realised it may have been because the manager happened to be his Dad and a complete numbskull!

Just to clarify, Would Alex Bruce please FUCK OFF!

"Alex Bruce is training with United". "Wilder met the 32 year olds father Steve during a short break in Portugal earlier this month".

Not the most exciting but there is a definite dearth in defensive talent knocking around. No harm in having a look at him and seeing how he gets on during the trail.

Would trust wilder to make he right decision after seeing him with the rest of the squad

He's more recent premier league experience than any of the rest of our squad.

I can't remember a player who the club signed after a 'trial'. Maybe Kieron Wallace?
Very few people will know the arrangement - he may well just be keeping fit at the club.
However, if CW and co feel he can do a job, then so be it.

tbh can't see owt wrong with this he has championship experience if we stay with 3 at the back then he has the experience to be in the centre of the 3 we need championship experience at the back remember quite a few on here including myself were a bit puzzled when we signed jake wright last year and look what happened to him

Back to the Championship back to the old ways we give Harry we get Bruce there's obviously no money unless they can find money wannabe football club owners. Could get away with it in L1 but we're gonna get caught with our pants down and some aging players on 3 year deals. Same old

2 months since season ended and you lot have turned into a right bunch of negative ninnies

Whichever signings come in between now and the start of the season, I'm sure we can all reserve judgement until they've had a fair run with us at this level
I agree. Unless it's Michael O'Hallaran,in which case you, him and Wilder can all fuck off.
;)

No harm in him training with us for a few weeks in pre season. If Wilder thinks he is good enough then i'll go with that and make my own judgements when he's played a number of games. I suspect should we sign him he'd be no more than cover anyhow.

I'm guessing CW is looking to bring depth to the squad because he knows how hard, fitness wise, he's going to push the squad and what he expects of them, so will want to rotate. Nothing wrong with getting in some reliable cover, without a fee, to ensure we're not caught short when fatigue begins to kick in. As hard as CW pushed the lads last year, you can be sure he'll want more this year and will know the Championship demands everyone utmost.
