Andy Giddings, going to see Wilder today. Perhaps announce is new deal before the interview? Be interesting to see updates of transfers and situation with Brayford etc?

You sound like your profile pic needs 2 legs removing pal:rolleyes:

Any transfer updates in this? Can't listen at work...

Bids in for Leonard and Holmes. There is a point where if they aren't done he'll move on. Plenty of interest in our listed players. Hasn't ever met Jagielka, and he's never been on Wilder's radar.

Quite a few times mentioned the fact he's working within a budget:
"Yer don't get medals for spunkin moneh. Our principles won't change."

Love that!

Already mentioned a few times, "You don't get medals for spunkin' moneh".......has to be woven onto a shirt? Plus, and probably as important a message as any of us should remember, "I want to achieve all my ambitions here".......so, with all the speculation about transfers, moving to a new club etc, that statement should put any doubts to rest. I'm not saying that things can't change, but for me it's clear that if Wilder is treated well he'll return his dedication to United in spades. Always a straight talker is Chris, onwards and upwards! UTMB!!!

What another quality interview from SIR CHRIS. That's a pretty resounding fuck off to Sunderland!!. Tufty always gives honest assessments in all areas( transfer targets and budgets ect!). In wilder we trust. Blades for life.

Not how I interpreted his comment. I think he was talking about the new Barnsley full back signing from Southampton who was quoted in the press saying '1 nil to Barnsley' after he 'turned us down' to sign for them. Clearly from CWs comments the lad never met up with CW or any SUFC representative and he wasn't on CW's radar. The comment wasn't related to Jags.

I think on reflection I completely misinterpreted that. The wording immediately after the Jags question was something along the lines of "a lad up the road said I'd spoken to him – I've never met him and he's never been on my radar" – I took that to mean one of Wilder's neighbours had talked about Jags  Was unaware of the Barnsley player in question.

I'd better get back to the Jagielka thread in the rumours section!

Nevermind Leonard & Holmes we need to get a few big pacey centre backs signed up as a priority after Wilder puts pen to paper.

Oh and Jags isn't one of them.

But he didn't actually say what all his ambitions are so for the right offer he could just go and say his ambition was to get us out of div 3. This is our blades ;).

Seriously tho', what a cracking interview.

It's down to interpretation, listening to Wilder, my take is that he means whatever ambitions are his to have can be fulfilled at United. I didn't hear any ambivalence in what he said, it was as clear as day, as long as there's trust then he'll do his hardest to take this club as far as is possible. I don't think he puts any ceilings on this ambition, what happens, happens, and should we become members of the Premiership, with the prospect of silverware, then that's his goal.

Reignite the Jagielka rumours!!

He swerved it as best he could. We are definitely in for him!
Pretty sure this is now down to if Everton get their new CB targets through the door that push Jags down the order.

It's pretty obvious by now there is interest by both parties to make this happen, if it's at all possible.

Would be a sensational signing but I still have major doubts we will be able to get this over the line.

UTB

Yeah - he didn't quash the Jags question
I could see this waiting until Everton sign a centre half or two and we ay, just ay, see Jags appear at BDTBL as a loan whilst Everton retain the right to recall if they get into a sticky situation (well they are the toffees after all)

How come he's agreed in principle but not signed it?

Pure guess, but maybe legals involved? He's happy but wants his legal fella to have a look? Fuck knows, I'm just guessing really :)
