Glad Huddersfield won but that was Gash from start to finish and we would have beaten both of them on today's performance. UTB

Same as all the playoff games. Spent all of them thinking that if these are top of the championship, we've nothing to fear next season.

It wasn't a great game, but both teams worked hard over a full season to get there. I wouldn't use this game to judge our team against these two teams.

I'm pleased for Huddersfield just because there's going to be a lot of pissed off snort beasts!. The downside is that it's going to be a twat of a journey to reading for me from Liverpool!!. Just one question though, what the fuck is it with Germans and winning penalty shootouts?.

From what i've seen of the Championship, one thing is for sure. This season has been brilliant, but next season is going to be much much better. We have nothing to fear. Mark my words, we're gonna do damage next season.

Don't really get this love in with udders. Wagner would have gone. Most of their better players were onloan. We'd have had a chance to get some of them. So who do we want from Reading? Erm exactly. Udders would have been the weaker of the 2 next season. But why would it be paramount to think about us?

Think those teams finished 17th and 19th the previous season, gives a bit of hope and put's paid to the 'massive gap' theory a little also...

Danny Williams out of contract this summer, apparently.

I thought the pig fans compared it to La Liga?

Ha ha ha so what is it do we need a billion pound to compete or can we do it with a good squad plenty of heart spirit and ditirmination?

Everyone seems to look at these tight, unspectacular games in the Championship and conclude that we'll have no problem at all.

In reality those games are usually like that because both teams are equally solid, well organised and fit. There are a lot of good athletes in that league now and we will have to strengthen significantly to threaten the top half. But I think there's a great chance we will.

Remember the contrasting team reactions when Reading and Huddersfield booked their places in the final? Reading were celebrating like they were already promoted whereas Huddersfield were in a team huddle with Wagner saying "one more game, just one more game". Great team spirit and belief. Well done Huddersfield and thanks for roasting the pigs along the way.

These games are like this because both teams are scared.

Tufty - Scared - Does Not Compute

Onwards and Upwards.

I agree totally. It'll not be easy like some think. Better players, better coaches, using better facilities, in front of bigger crowds...

Well done to Huddersfield. I am sure CW will have the team motivated and ready for the Championship challenge until we actually play a Championship club I wont get carried away.

How good is it to see a proper club with proper fans promoted to the Premier League?

Out of the clubs in the play offs Huddersfield were the one club with the tradition, history but above all decent proper fans who deserve it.

Chuffed for them, chuffed for Captain Luke Picard and chuffed for football in general.

"Make it so number 1..." :), I wonder if Wagner said that to his players for the pen shoot out...

Not if your a Huddersfield fan - wish we were in the same position now - 200m squid, nice
just saying football
its a cruel mistress at times

on a bright note , the quality was dire , its really upped my optimism for next season
Reading looked half as good as Fleetwood
