Why Blades fans should cheer Owls in the play-offs

Just enough to keep the pot stirring I'd say.

Are you a Blade then or not? It's a simple question.

Thread's now 11 pages, you think I've kept it stirring? (After being brought into it by another poster?)
First game August 9, 1997. Spackman's first game, Borbokis ran it. Had his name & number on my away shirt afterwards, it barely fit.

Not sure if serious, but I think it's likely that this would be classed under the "Fair Dealing" and "News Reporting", along with the link to the original source material and named author.

I'd imagine that Martin knew exactly what he was doing in creating the article and one of the intended outcomes of the article was to generate discussion and attention... Something it has achieved with the original post here.

Interestingly, multiple members of the local media (print, radio and television) have used our content many times without attribution and contravening copyright - some would say it appears that that's just the modern method of journalism - but that's a matter for another time :)

I'd also like to remind that in the UK a work is “original” for copyright purposes if it is the result of its author’s own skill, labour, judgement and effort.

I'm a little late to this thread having been busy working, but I can see however that some have overstepped the mark a little in their responses to yourself, which will be dealt with via relevant infractions.
Maybe just have a Star ban on here? No more posts about their articles, no more links. If people want to read The Star, do so, want to comment on it, comment on their website. That would end the dichotomy of multiple threads saying it's biased next to multiple threads with links to their articles about the Blades.

Should we ban Star journalists too?

You didn't answer my question - are you a Unitedite?

I've been to games at Hillsborough (and about 70 other odd grounds) so announcing a 'first game' is not quite the same as saying who you support.

Pedantic? Yes, but you seem unwilling to actually confirm you are a Sheffield United supporter.

Why's my presence offend you, out of curiosity? I joined here personally, not professionally

Nobody else on here has qualified why they joined so I have no problem with the above and even if you had joined on behalf of the Star that would be fine by me, as long as we know what/who we are dealing with.

Yes, I am. Would you like a scan of my first season ticket to aid your inquiries? :D

The shirt? Too many pies?

Come out to bat for us then Danny, you might find it funny because you have to avoid conflicts in your work environment (we all have to) but send your editor in chief an email on our behalf and post the reply... he can't fire you for asking a question as to why deliberate articles are published with the sole intention of detracting from sheffield united, belittling their achevements, and riddiculing their supporters, in my opinion, the piss taking has gone to the well once too often..

If you're a blade, show some support...

Tezza, it's simply not true. Otherwise, we'd not have done a supplement on promotion, a special on the Town Hall celebration. And I'm sure they wouldn't have wasted money sending me to fecking Southend (although I did enjoy the game). But I'll pass it on. All the best!

I said I would do this, even tough I was sure my initial statement was too close for comfort.......

I'd like to thank you so much for your donation of £10.00, which meant that my daughter Isla got to build sandcastles at the seaside. My son, Adam, has quadriplegic cerebral palsy, chronic lung disease and uncontrolled epilepsy. It's impossible to take a wheelchair onto sand, so his little sister, Isla, never got to go to the seaside. When Bluebell Wood looked after Adam for us, we were able to take Isla to Cleethorpes for the day. She's had to grow up so fast, so it was great to spend some quality time together. She absolutely loved it, even though it rained - and Adam had a fantastic day playing at Bluebell Wood too.

Without you, we wouldn't have been able to do this; thank you just doesn't seem enough.

With best wishes

Good man. I've donated to Bluebell Wood also.

I will be supporting Huddersfield. And I fucking hate Huddersfield.

As a gesture of solidarity, I think we should all change our profile pictures temporarily to something related to Huddersfield.:)

Yep lets keep it simple and offer them a message of support for this match only. Something like "COME ON YOU BLUE AND WHITE COW TITS"
I like the avatar but no lightening flash?
