Ah, Charlie Wyke, the latest in a long series of players we've missed out on. Go and have a seat next to Stuart Beavon, Omar Bogle, Jake Cassidy and Sam Morsy, mate.

I saw Charlie play recently. He was fucking Rhubarb. I don't give a fuck what a bunch of Bradford fans who "believe me, know their football" say or think. I do give a little cringe at the sycophancy of it, though.

As for Darius, he's "banged in" 49 in six seasons since leaving us. An average of eight a season. Clive Allen, beware.

Lol. Wyke 7 in 16. Hanson 1 in 15.

You're right, why would we want Wyke over Hanson. That's lunacy! But, you think he's not good based on one game so that's enough evidence obviously.

James Hanson promoted ,Charlie Wyke play offs ,all you need to know. Oh and I live in worksop just in case you needed to know  You were wrong before and you are wrong now.

I was disappointed when I learnt of his signing as I saw him as an immobile occupier of defenders

He's proven to be just that, he 'occupies' defenders. Nothing more. Nowhere near good enough for the Championship, I'd be looking to offload him and Mcnulty. Clarke, despite his seeming lack of enthusiasm has far more ability and has always scored goals.
Get rid of the fucking lot eh ? We only won the league by miles scoring 92 goals and getting 100 points ,what have they ever done

Thanks Lol. You know people who 'know their football'. All I've got is the evidence of eyes that have spent over 50 years watching football and seen countless "next big things" sink without trace.

Anyway, at least we know the source of our respective opinions: Mine is my own observations; yours is 'Bradford fans'. I'm perfectly content with that.

Fantastic response considering my post singled out 1 player who I believe hasn't contributed much.

Let's laud Chris Hussey on his promotion' over Mclaughlin at Fleedwood too....

Tells you all you need to know eh?

Pathetic isn't it? There's always a race to be the first idiot to step forward. Unfortunately for today's candidates the one who wanted rid of Leon Clarke won it by a mile on Sunday.

About you? It does indeed...

And there's the rub. It's a team game but some of our 'fans' can't help but put the boot into certain individuals.

Fortunately CW believes he has 'contributed much' and last time I checked, he was in charge of the squad.

So one one hand you're saying Hanson isn't any good....then on the other you're give me shit for saying Hanson isn't any good...

Ahhh, the old online split personality syndrome.

Not sticking the boot in at all, just don't believe he's good enough for the Championship.

Indeed, we will see where Chris see's him for next season, I guarantee you now he won't be starting, hence he agrees with me :-)

Your last paragraph is nonsense. He'll be part of the 18 man squad. He'll start some games at least, and play a part in most. Tufty gave him a contract that includes two years in the Championship. That proves the opposite to that which you contend.

You must be thinking of McNulty and Done. They fit your analysis.

Not sure how you've managed to get to the 'Wilder agrees with me' position from knocking Hanson for not contributing enough. Wilder signed him and has played him so he patently doesn't 'agree' with you.

No-one on here is saying he will start, but there are plenty who feel he can make a positive contribution in the higher division. You are clearly not one.

I feel Done has contributed more than Hanson.

To get him on board he will have had to have offered a 2 year deal or there was no point in him coming. I remember Akinbiyi being on similar deal....didn't he only play for 6 months?

He must have spoken to those "Bradford fans". Boy, do they know their stuff...

I reckon its someone else who needs to do some head wobbling

We can't all be as one for everything, it's all about opinions. Everyone is entitled to them. A lot on here gave Porter a hell of a lot of shit, but in my opinion he was a better footballer than Hanson.

You think he's a worthy squad member, I don't. Hardly a debate there tbh.

Theres no pleasing some people sometimes I do wonder if they've ever played the game or understand it ?? Hanson has done a great job and def was missing link , as said earlier fleetwood , Bury , Oldham , Northampton games where they sat deep and parked the bus showed how we needed other options i.e. Play off target man and bring in midfield players , comparing him to Wyke just based on stats is load of bollocks ! Do you think Sharp would have scored at Peterborough without Hanson ? Stats don't reflect players role in a team , you could have a defender showing most tackles on stats , does that make him a great defender or one with bad positional sense who needs to track back to cover his arse . The teams stats reflect the role of the players i.e. Position in table .. 100pts & 92 goals . Hanson will be very valuable asset next season .

Oh dear, you've set your own trap here, so I'll help you walk into it, with the inevitable question: Do you think Done is good enough for the Championship?

I think 'Bradford fans' are in a far better position to comment on both players than you are. Unless of course you've been following Bradford closely over the past few seasons.

Bit of a condescending twat aren't you.

I've got to say that I'd hoped that we'd still have enough of a warm afterglow, to at least be able to wait until after the ribbons had been taken off the open top bus before ripping into our league passing Champions. :(

Spot on ,people have forgotten all those games where we struggled to break an 11 man defence down ,just as much better sides than ours have ,Hanson gave us another dimension ,why people cant see this is beyond me.

A 'bit'? Only a 'bit'? You damn me with faint praise...

Christ, because somebody doesn't agree with an opinion on a message board he's accused of 'ripping' into the players.

Get a grip ffs.

Let's attack this another way, everyone is saying we need another option up front. Do you all think it's sustainable to have Sharp, Lavery, Clarke, Hanson, an unmentionable one up front and possibly needing to even add to that?!

And that's assuming we do get rid of McCnulty or Done.

Ahh, a masters in psychology too.

How's saying Done has contributed more than Hanson painted myself into a corner? For me Hanson would be fifth choice, which is saying I believe we have 4 strikers better than him. Doesn't mean all four are good enough for the Championship does it.

There I've painted the picture for you, maybe it's a little easier for your one track mind to soak in now.

He will and, yes, he'll be on the bench more than he starts. That's the inevitable consequence of playing at a higher level for some players. There'll be games when he doesn't even feel the Desso below his feet at all, but there'll also be times when Division Two centre-halves get their fucking feathers more than ruffled, just like John Terry, by Big James. I'm guessing the vast majority of them would sooner face Charlie Wyke, who had one touch against us so far as I remember, and there's a reason I remember it...

I do like this reference to his 'battle' with John Terry.

That bollocks again. It'll be the Frank Lampard myth next...

But for some reason the Montgomery battle with Lampard is a myth.

When the agenda suits?
