I cannot believe SYP again on London Road after the match. Closed all boozers at about 4:30pm. Noisy yes, few Blades a bit pissed, yes, reason being WE'VE JUST THE LEAGUE YOU MISERABLE SODS!!!! SYP, creating a problem where there isn't one since 1908.

walked up to rutland arms about 4 quite a few blades fans were heading there when police were closing other pubs

London rd was awesome this afternoon, top atmosphere in club house and then up to eccy rd once coppers started to close London rd down. What a day!

Absolute madness outside the Crown, where did all those bananas come from?

I'd have felt bad for you if my sister wasn't one of the people that got hit by a flying bottle.

Once again people have some alcohol and turn into idiots with no care for anything else but themselves.

Far be it from me to praise the SYP but I thought they handled a potentially ugly situation very well.
They could've steamed in after some dickhead launched a bottle at them but they exercised restraint.

The boozers only closed for an hour or so and I had my picture taken with a very lovely Irish policewoman.

What is it about having photos taken with coppers? I've done it too. Weird.

Did the same at MK. It helps to break down the 'us v them' sort of tensions. In my experience most police are alright if you're friendly with them.

I thought the police were alright all things considered. They stepped back, let everyone crack on and have a laugh. They're not wanting a thousand drunk blokes with bottles hanging around for too long are they so were right to shut the pubs. Didn't ruin anybody's day. Fair play to them

Thought SYP were top notch yesterday, to be frank. Shut down one of the main roads into the city centre just to accommodate us lot having a party. If a dickhead was in charge yesterday, they might have tried to disperse us which wouldn't have been a pretty sight.

I wouldn't know about the pubs being shut because I couldn't get in one until 4pm. I only had one actual pint; rest had to be tinnies.

The coopers on London Road were actually bang on yesterday, especially when some (individuals) were clearly trying to goad them.
They closed the road when fans were spilling onto the street rather than move the fans on, didn't over react to the bottles being smashed, and generally seemed to mange the situation absolutely right.

Plenty of melon heading when we walked up about 4.45. Barrel was shut but Old Crown looked open, whether they were letting people in I don't know.

Went to Railway and then Cremorne. They didn't reopen the road until at least 7pm.
