Hopefully, playing at slightly larger stadiums next year

Weird to think that as crap as we were last season, 4 of that team have played in a higher division this season...

I reckon Wilder would have got that lot in the top two.

Okay, when I start to pick out players, that's a stretch. But top 6 definitely.

Thats what I thought 3 championship players. 1 premier league. But it doesnt work as a team when good players have vastly inferior players around them!

Still don't think Brayford deserves to be tarred with the same brush

He's a top quality right sided attacking wing back who was played at Centre Half for most of his second spell here

Then he got a bad injury

I'd still have him back and let Wilder work with him

The real fully fit John Brayford would be a great help to us in the Championship

If anything this shows how much Adkins got wrong.

We've got the four who went on to play at a higher level. Then Basham and Done who've both contributed this season, and Long who had an adequate season last year. After that, Edgar was average and Flynn was a decent squad player at this level.

So to my mind you've only got Cuvelier and Hammond who were outright awful.

Adkins should have discarded those two, and found players (not from higher leagues) to do their jobs. I just think he didn't know enough about the lower leagues to that. If he had then surely we should have made the top six.

I've a feeling he'll be back with a clean slate. It won't hurt to at least take a look at him pre season. What's his contract situation? Mind you he'll be on a huge wage and probably more than what Wilder thinks he's worth maybe.

hmmm, I do think that's the main issue here. Brayford is easily good enough for us in the league above, but Freeman has the shirt and so not sure there should even be a discussion of hanging on to player on such a hefty wage when he's not a certain starter.

If we went 4-4-2 however, I definitely see value in both Freeman and Brayford starting on the right (as much as that may rankle some who dislike squarepeginroundholes.

Brayford only wants to play for Clough, it's only reason he came here in the first place . Forget about him.

Freeman is better anyway.

He's been playing on the right of a back 3 for burton so Freeman doesn't have to worry about losing his spot to him ,his wing full back days are gone

One word Competition !!!!!

Brayfords wages were thought manageable in League One so they should be in the Championship

I'm presuming he'll be back anyway at the end of the season so his wages will have to be found somehow, even if it is only until he moves on

Under Wilder I think he could get back to his best, and Brayford at his best is a very good player
