Budget for next season

Funny that you liked my post advocating just that. No point being in Divission 1 if you're not aiming for the Prem.
I'd love nothing more myself and I will go in to the season that good things are coming and maybe we could do something spectacular but most fans probably think the same about their respective clubs. I do think deep down a top 6 is a bridge to far but we'll see.

So if a player is valued at £2m derry and Wilder wants that player and agrees with the valuation then that player is not deemed over the odds, so will he be able to go for him?

I suppose the question is whether Wilder has a Championship budget or not ( I would suggest he does btw)

It's what he has said from day one, would he ever try to sign a player for 2 million plus wages I don't know you would have to ask him. KM has also said the days of big transfers have gone so unless they do a complete u-turn I don't see CW paying that size of fee.

We'll sign at least 6 players, and possibly as many as 8.

We'll be losing Scougall, McNulty, Hussey, EEL, Chapman and probably Long, Brayford, Done, O'Shea and Wilson.

Anyone who thinks we'll only sign 3 or 4 is cuckoo. Losing 8 of the 10 above would leave us with about 15 established first team players.

We'll need a decent budget but plenty of room will be created by moving on many of those above.

got to say disgusted with your lack of belief in our current players
There are players there thats played in the championship before
Thats why weve been head and shoulders above the other teams in the pub league
We have quality in this squad , you dont get 90 plus points in the pub league without quality

Wednesday stayed up without adding too many first season

are you saying we are worse than Wednesday then

so you want to get shot of Fleck Basham Duffy Moore Wright Freeman etc

Wednesday would beat us as we are.
Where did I want to get rid of Fleck,Basham,Moore,Wright or Freeman.
Duffy might struggle next season.
You are blinded by us getting out of a shit league after 6 long years.
I seriously don't think you have a clue what needs addressing next season.
Thankfully Wilder does.
Have a nice drinkypoo night pal.

I think Kevin McCabe with the prince are committed to giving a bit of a go
hes up for it now again , hes earning a few bob with his Chinese venture and can see us bolstering the squad where cover or replacements CW needs to bring in.
Think Chris will give most of the lads who got us up a squad berth knowing hes got till the end of September to address any short comings .
Will probably bring in 2 or 3 with the option to add if needed

not far off there , , think he will keep Long though he likes him and might go for for another 1 of those
think an experienced wide players the first thing hell get

If I'm not far off with that then we're not just going to sign 2 or 3 are we?

We'll want at least 20 established first team players before any youngsters making up the rest.

I said we d sign 2, 3 or 4 initially then use the window to fill any gaps
be unfair on some players not to see if they can do the business in the championship

we are not joining the prem . dont believe pig propaganda its a big gulf, its not

we have to give Freeman Wright Duffy etc the chance they deserve

I don't know what he'll spend but his recruitment has been excellent hasn't it? And I trust him to see where reinforcements are needed and add to the squad with players who are good enough.

Only slight doubt for me is whether the club will fork out for players of top end Championship quality. I think he's going to have to be smart to find up and coming talent rather than established talent at this level. But he can do it if anyone can.

But if a player meets Wilders valuation then he's not paying over the odds

if we are saying no £2m signings regardless in the Championship then that's a concern

The club and fans can't expect Wilder to perform miracles on a budget that doesn't meet Championship requirements especially if Wilder is expected to climb the Championship in order to achieve the Prince and McCabes goal of the Premiership

would they fuck

they are a slightly better version of bolton
Im more afraid of Brentford than Wednesday
they put it about

You clearly are pissed.
So we'd do the double over the barcodes right now would we?
Grow up,stop drinking and stop posting crap mate.

Whatever budget Wilder gets, it's inevitably going to be considerably bigger than this season's, so if he's as smart with it as he has been with this season's then we'll end up with some very good players and probably finish comfortably in the top half.

Now if he gets a BIG budget...........? This is what makes me think we should really go for it. With all the momentum the club and Wilder have got it could be the best time to do so.

here you go then
which of the team thats won the title and played in 13 game unbeaten run deserves showing the door without getting a kick in the championship
  • 2 Moore
  • 16 Freeman
  • 6 Basham
  • 5 O'Connell
  • 13 Wright
  • 24 Lafferty
  • 15 Coutts
  • 4 Fleck
  • 44 Carruthers
  • 27 L Clarke
  • 26 O'Shea
Substitutes
  • 1 Long
  • 10 Sharp
  • 11 Done
  • 16 Hanson
  • 19 Ebanks-Landell
  • 21 Duffy
  • 32 Chapman

where did I say that said they wont do the double over us

1 double in 100 years and according to them always been better than us

you seem to be very much on their side
are you frightened of Rhodes,
or something , hes wank ,theyve nothing Id want

posting crap , seems Im a novice at it compared to what shit your coming out with

have you learnt nothing watching derbies

what do you want
why change it too much
CW and Knill play a system that works
weve got players that make it work
a bit of extra quality can enhance it

wholesale changes could ruin it
I was working in someone's house this morning and they had Radio Sheffield on, Alan Knill was being interviewed and he basically said that some players will not get the chance to prove themselves next season due to the nature of the game and there will be no sentiment. That to me suggested we'd be moving more on than people think and perhaps bringing more in than people think? Either way, it won't only be two or three.

I know you are supposed to use capital letters when starting a sentence.

I'll engage when you're not posting crap.
UTB.

well there are always some that are discarded , like mcnulty theres always about 7 or 8 every season but that includes peripheral under 23s

wednesday will be more scared of us next season than we will be of them

pressures really on them , after how theyve been spouting off about owning the city

You brought the £2 million into play, I would imagine a a 2m player would want a fair size contract and wage. I think CW wants a close knit squad wouldn't that size of fee and contract disrupt that. He has said they will bring players in it didn't sound as if big fee signings were part of the plan, might be bluffing who knows.
