Alan Knill - Show our appreciation

Was wondering if/how we could all show our appreciation to Alan between now and the end of the season.

Wilder gets soooo much applause and credit for what he has done and the results achieved (and rightly so), but he hasn't done this on his own.

Alan has been a vital part in what SUFC have done and how the club has been transformed since they arrived, and I just think we chant Wilders name and he knows how much we appreciate him, but Alan doesn't get this.

So, can we get a few chants going at Northampton, and also at the remaining home games?? Give the whole management team the support they deserve and let em know we luuuuuurve em??

With Knill living in Sheffield he will get his plaudits walking around Tesco .

Do we need to think summat up for young Trevor , tea ladies , laundry ladies and them in ticket office . It is a team effort after all .

Sorry, but don't agree.

Wilder lives in Sheffield and will get plaudits walking round Tesco. So do most of the players Does that stop anyone showing their appreciation at The Lane???? I'm sure most managers who have managed us have lived in Sheffield. Has that ever stopped us singing a song about them??? No.

He is not just someone who hands out tickets or cleans the kit.

He, just as much as Wilder has galvanised the players, got them giving everything in training, improving them as players and drilling in the work ethic that the whole squad now is showing and that has got us promoted.

I say that he deserves some appreciation for that.

It is up to the manager to ensure all of his team receive the plaudits they deserve. There will be an awards night, and all being well a victory parade of some sort. They are the perfect platform for such a task.

Must say I get the feeling that Knill is a very crucial part of the success that you guys have had this season, and the work they did at Northampton. Good cop, bad cop played out perfectly and get the feeling that Knill is able to execute Wilder's ideas and plans perfectly on the training ground. Saw a couple of Youtube videos where some journo from Sheffield was interviewing them both separately (sorry I cannot remember the guys name, but think he is pretty well known to you guys) and they both speak very highly of each other. Not sure why, but my gut feeling is that at Oxford he was forced to work with Mickey Thomas rather than it being his choice and think this impacted his success there. With Knill it just all seems to have clicked into place.

Interesting from the videos I mention above Knill states that a system just seemed to click into place when they got a couple of players and since then it just seems to be working to perfection.
