Rodders. Think about this reply. I am looking to tag on to any sort of success for my club.

Yes I have been guilty of giving too many managers benefit of the doubt, all in the interest of the elusive 'continuity', but truth is I lost faith in certain managers as soon as they started signing players.

Wilder has changed that. I've always loved the man. I watched his team at Halifax just because I love the man so much. He was sat with his mates near us at Wrexham in a league cup midweek match so many years ago when he was injured.

Being a Blade is as big as Wilder is. Nobody else has measured up for years and years. Only three managers have done so since I started watching in 1956. It's now FOUR, with a bit to prove yet at the next level. All the ingredients are there tough.

McCabe is one of my heroes Pommpey. He is a self made man who has made loads of money and he has never forgotten his roots.

With part of his money he tried to make a difference for us Unitedites.

I'm sure he could afford more than £90m ( less freehold property values net) but he is a Yorkshireman. I could afford Business Class on an aeroplane but I travel Economy or Premium Economy at best. I'm from S2.

KM has allowed himself to spend £90m but as a Sheffielder he's not going to piss all his kids' inheritance against the Brammall Lane wall.

As a family we have spent over £100k in our lifetimes and we think that is a hell of a commitment.

Success in football isn't about how many games you go to. Speak to the overseas exiles and ask them. Ask them what they did for the club when we were up in the PL. Given your wearisome measure, the only people allowed to make comment and observation (and woe betide it be negative) are people who go to games. Where's that written down, then? Except in your narrow mind.

I couldn't give a fat fuck how many games you go to. I do give a fat fuck about being relegated and staying in the third for six seasons though. You seem to think that because McCabe has (said he's) spent ninety big on the club that all is well. He said that last season after we'd come eleventh in this division, the lowest we'd finished since the beginning of the eighties which was the last time we won silverware. He had to take a knock on ST prices for that little fuck up too. You can't just dust over these facts WWF. They won't conveniently go away just because fortunately for McCabe (at the tenth shake of the dice) Wilder has galvanized the club and we are looking odds on for getting out of this fucking league at last. They are still there, 'go-to-every-game-or-not'.

Start living in the real world WWF and I think more people on here might take you seriously and respect you. No one, as far as I can see, is actively trolling you on here and I should know because I have my cabal of pihranas nibbling at my feet every time I mention Desso and people run out of answers and think they have some purchase with the Pugwash hilarity. Just want to note that 100k of your own money is far more worthy than 90m of other people's via investments, loans etc. My guess is KM isn't any poorer minus the 90m so the analogy sucks.

I don't think there's any glory whatsoever in United gaining promotion from League 1.

But we are supporters and every journey has to start somewhere.

Added to that 4 previous managers have failed along the first stage of the journey. Wilder hasn't.

I'm generally positive about McCabe and the club ( although try to stick to facts rather than wild claims based on nothing). There's a fair list who totally disagree with me on that point. We've disagreed at length. Not one of them has trolled me ( apart from the sad nutter who needs a row to get him through the day but he trolls anyone who'll interact with him)

Of course there is...we are where we are. Gaining promotion from this division is a great achievement by all concerned.
