Its a bright breezy sunny day here in Lancashire with 0% chance of rain and the forecast is the same for tomorrow although 10% chance of rain. Saturday it is forecast to be totally sunny and 13 degrees warm !!! (wow thats totally tropical in Oldham) It will be OK to play on as far as allowed BUT what state it will be in is anyones guess.?

Someone else said on another post that it wouldn't worry Duffy as he's been playing on pitches like these for years and it's occurred to me that most of our players have. I think we'll try to play the game in their half and not take any risks in our half. Look to go long when we're under pressure but otherwise try to do what we normally do.

I'm a bit further west than you, but I had a look at the local cricket pitch this morning in Edgworth. Yesterday it had large pools in parts of the outfield and today, after a few hours without rain, that water's gone and it's drying nicely.I imagine Boundary Park has better drainage, so as you say, it will be playable at least and I doubt they'll need the sprinklers at half time
