Barnsley are presently playing like a side who have lost three players in the JTW.
They have done well this season, and the recent form is probably down to the confidence the team got through promotion and the good start.
The issue they will have is next season, when there are 46 games to go, and not 9 as there is now. They know today that they are safe.
They could do a Rotherham next season - I expect them to, unless they can find some decent players who want small wages.
Barnsley went up with a team put together in the 3rd tier, which is where they will end up once again.
The Championship is all about finance at the end of the day - remains to be seen whether our two benefactors come up with the goods. Chansiri will stop funding our S6 neighbours eventually just as the Bolton , Villa, Sunderland etc benefactors did. It is absolutely vital we hang on to CW & AK - they appear to offer us a slightly different approach to just chucking bucket loads of money at the problem which only appears to end in failure and fan despair.
